Amazon Soon To Be An Authorized Reseller of Latest Apple iPhones, iPads and Watches

Amazon currently directly sells some Apple devices like MacBooks and Beats headphones. However, Amazon websites in 8 countries will soon also start directly selling more types of Apple’s latest products (e.g., iPad Pro, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and Apple Watch Series 4) at standard prices. The agreement allows more control over inventory and pricing, reduces counterfeits, gives Amazon more highly sought-after electronics to sell, and enables Apple to sell more devices worldwide.
In addition to Amazon itself, only 3rd-party sellers that are, or apply and are approved as, Apple-authorized resellers will be allowed to sell any Apple and Beats products on Amazon. Unauthorized sellers won’t be able to ship new and used Apple products to Amazon warehouses starting Dec. 1, and any stock remaining in warehouses will be removed after Jan. 4, 2019 (Amazon will reimburse return or disposal fees until early February). Apple products sold through Amazon’s certified refurbished Renewed program will not change.
Now that Amazon and Apple are getting along better, maybe Amazon and Google’ will kiss and make up next… though Amazon still won’t sell Apple’s HomePod smart speaker or Google Home speakers, which compete with Amazon’s Echo devices.
