I was able to place an order for the a phone without buying the $50 plan.

And it’s almost certain it won’t work on their other towers.

Not yet but I only ordered yesterday. I’m beginning to wonder if orders will be fulfilled because they didn’t request a credit card at checkout, which would make more sense if we’re required to purchase a $50 service plan for 1 month to get the free phone (even if we weren’t charged until we activiate the phone).

Order acknowledged and shipped for the order I placed with the prepaid service card. Plan to not activate the sim or service card and sell service card at a loss and end up with the phone for around $15.
