I presume you would buy gc the same way you do with PP and Bonus Cash.
While I’m sad PP is ending I’ve ended up with a lot more GC and cash since the transition to BC.
Since there’s 60 day expiration I’m cashing out BC ASAP rather than accumulating it as I did w/ PP.

Probably it could tell by your account number and what type of card that account number is tied to. As for me I had an annual fee free Am Ex Everyday Card.

Why would your Plenti card be tied to your credit card? I have an Amex but Plenti doesn’t know that. I’ve never used my Amex at RA or to purchase via Plenti.com.

It doesn’t, you are entering your phone number for your wellness card way before you swipe your credit card (or insert the chip)

I use the Plenti card. Even so, I don’t know how the system would know to offer to use your Amex membership points unless you were paying with an Amex that has membership points. Since he has so many PP to use up I presume MrV would not be paying with his Amex. So how did the system know to ask him if he wanted to pay w/ Amex membership points?

I have an Amex no-fee Everyday card and I don’t earn membership points, I earn cash back.

eta: Maybe MrV misunderstood the screen. The screen no longer asks if you want to pay w/ Plenti pts-- it calls them something else. Maybe he saw that and thought they were offering to use Amex membership points which I’m not even sure he has if he has an Amex Blue Everyday which doesn’t give points back AFAIK-- it gives cash back…

MrV did not misunderstand the screen. My total was less than $2, so my PP would not kick in. That is why I paid with my Am Ex card. I did not say I paid with Blue Everyday. I paid with the Everyday card, which does give Membership Rewards points for purchases.

I was at Rite Aid today and my total due was $1.40 and at the register it asked me if I wanted to redeem 200 Am Ex Membership Rewards points to pay for the purchase or not. So it looks like for every 100 Membership Rewards points it gives you 70 cents of buying power at RIte Aid.
