The new behavior started rolling out in September. Old registers were still issuing balance coupons, but the new ones did/do not.

I scanned 3 receipts back-to-back without any other offer, because the 2% offer stayed in my account, but only 1 actually went through. The other 2 came back with “no matching offer”.

I have 2% for Safeway. I just submitted 3 receipts without any other offer.

Yesterday I went through Rakuten for one eBay order, and TCB for another eBay order a few minutes later. Both orders were credited to TCB. I started with a fresh incognito browser session for each order.

A few weeks ago I switched between MaxRebates and Rakuten for Steelcase. The order was placed through MaxRebates, but the credit went to Rakuten.

The shopping portal tracking may not work the way we expect it to work.

For me, the most common problem is not the transactions themselves, but the bonus cashbacks associated with them, typically on the last day of each bonus event. Those are easily corrected with support tickets.

Don’t know why people have so much problem with tracking. I have redeemed almost $300 in the last 2 years, and about $600 lifetime. I always start with a fresh browser session in private mode.

Confirmed today that the same type no longer works. I have no expectation, but I’ll try a different type next time.

I think I jinxed it. My latest Vanilla purchase did not receive the grocery rewards bonus. I guess it was good while it lasted.

TCB actually came through for the $110 HBO Max cashback that was advertised by mistake. Perhaps because that one attracted too much attention at DOC.

My Staples order from this morning already tracked. Not even shipped yet.

I always start with a new browser session in private mode, so there are no other cookies hanging around.

The More card used to issue coupons and give you 5% rewards for online purchase, which was not available for everyone for a period of time. Right now, I don’t see any additional perks.

The $3 bonus offer from last week never tracked for me and neither did my associated purchase from Office Depot, so I think I’ll stop now to prevent further losses.

Did the purchase itself show up? If so, wait 14 days and file a ticket. For some merchants, the bonus does not track if the purchase is made on the last day (in this case, the only day) of the bonus offer.

@harperr Some people may not want it, but getting a Staples More card is a “free” alternative for the Premier status.

Most of these games I just win $0.25. Maybe once for $0.50. That’s it.

Don’t know. Many people on SD started reporting this issue a few weeks ago. I encountered this myself yesterday.

I used to max out the 6% cashback on grocery purchases by buying MM gift cards at Vons, but now since there will be no more of those deals going forward, what use is it getting the Blue Cash Preferred Card and paying the annual fee unless you buy a ton of groceries to max out the 6%?

MM gift card deals have been very scarce even before the switch. Using the prepaid cards for federal tax, at full price, is still better than paying directly with credit card.

With this change, it makes getting the Am Ex Blue Cash Preferred Card (6% cashback on grocery purchases with a $95 annual fee) kind of a waste of money (due to the annual fee) unless your household buys an awful lot of groceries.

I don’t really understand what you’re saying. You would have purchased the GiftCardMall GCs, but not the Vanilla ones?

That’s the high mileage version. I couldn’t find the regular version. Don’t know if it really matters.

This happened before when they introduced new varieties of the GCs. Probably won’t last long until they are re-categorized.

Be very careful inspecting the Vanilla cards before purchase. I got scammed recently because a different barcode was slipped inside the package.

Also, Vanilla itself has cards issued by different banks. Some cards don’t work with all 3 tax payment processors.

@c3 30% happens often enough. Wait for when they are giving 40% back. When they are offering 40% back I buy ink even if I’m not “due”.

40% typically requires $75 minimum, which is a lot more than my purchase in the $30 range. I took a chance with the 20% instead of waiting for this week’s 30%, which could have been 0%. The difference for my order is about $2.50 – I’ll live with it.

The cartridges I recycled yesterday (8/21) are already showing up in my rewards account, but dated as 8/20. Weird.

I made a payment to Comcast for $0.42 just a few months ago. I don’t think there is a minimum.

I don’t see any advantage of this one, versus the Visa which has 5% bonus, if not more.

Can’t agree about a change (not even sure what you mean by a ‘change is coming’).

I have no idea, since I don’t have any inside info. They posted the first delay 7/15 either at the end of June or very early July. I have never seen a message like that, way before something is due. 7/25 itself is an odd day, Sunday, not a regular corporate business day.

I’m waiting for the next reward coupon so I can combine it with one that expires on 7/31. With this delay, I won’t have much time to use it.

There are 2 separate issues. First, your reward amount is wrong. Does your “purchase details” show the correct “Rewards Earned”?

Second, the message now says: “July Statements will be available on 07/25”. This is very odd. I think a change is coming.
