ETA: there no longer seems to be an expiration date for the 15% off 1st order + FS on $35 offer
Kroger launches âKroger Ship,â an online home delivery service, offering over 50,000 items for deliveries, in four cities (Cincinnati, Houston, Louisville, and Nashville), though more cities will be added soon. The service will require a minimum $35 order to avoid the $4.99 delivery fee. The service will also provide an additional 5% off with a monthly subscription option (âSet & Saveâ).
To celebrate the launch, you can save 15% off and get free shipping on your first order with code SHIP15 at checkout, no minimum purchase requirement. Offer expires 12/31/2018 02-28-2020, 7am ET, while supplies last. Exclusions apply. All orders automatically earn fuel points, which allows you to save up to $1/gallon ($0.10 off per gallon for every $100 spent per month). You can stack digital coupons with other savings. They plan to expand to other cities soon, so if your city is not included now, check back through the end of the year to see if you can take advantage of this promo before the code expires. THEY JUST SENT OUT A MASS EMAIL ANNOUNCEMENT SO THIS IS NOW OPEN TO EVERYONE (assuming theyâre not restricting this to areas served by their B&M locations âAt this time, we do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories or addresses outside of the United Statesâ).
Be sure to check their promotions page to find additional savings to stack. They are currently offering up to 20% off brands like Quaker, Post, Oreo, RXBar, Starbucks, Bushâs, Nature Valley, Kellogs, Mr. Coffee, Kind, Enjoy Life, Simply Organic, Arrowhead Mills, and Simple Truth (one of their Kroger brands). They also currently have a 15% off back to school paper products promo.
News article:
"Americaâs largest grocery chain launched âKroger Ship,â a direct home delivery service, in four cities on Wednesday: Cincinnati, Houston, Louisville, and Nashville. It will expand to new markets in the coming months.
Kroger (KR) already offers delivery from 1,200 of its stores through third-parties like Instacart and curbside pickup at 1,250. Both are valuable tools to help Kroger offer current and potential customers convenience and keep pace with rivals.
But Ship new will give the company a new weapon as more shoppers order groceries online and legacy brick-and-mortar retailers Walmart and Target build up their digital capabilities to compete with Amazon (AMZN). Amazonâs Whole Foods acquisition last year blurred the lines between online and offline food retailâŠ
Krogerâs delivery website went live on Wednesday, and shoppers can pick from more than 50,000 grocery, household, beauty, and pet food choices.
The company is focusing on its private label collection with Ship by offering more than 4,500 of its own brandsâŠ
Kroger is offering free shipping on purchases above $35, but orders below will come with a $4.99 delivery fee. During the launch phase, the company is offering shoppers free shipping and 15% off their orders using a promocode.
Ship also features an order-and-save subscription, which Kroger believes can help convince customers to make repeat purchases.
Online purchases will be fulfilled directly from Krogerâs two current fulfillment centers and a third one opening in the fall. The company is working with FedEx (FDX) and the Postal Service to ship orders, which can be delivered as soon as the next day."
