RE: Sacramento Bee Loyalty Club (aka SacBee Rewards fka BeeBuzzPoints)
@vickib said in Sacramento Bee Loyalty Club (aka SacBee Rewards fka BeeBuzzPoints):
For those of you who do not mind clicking on e-mails, doing surveys, clicking on various items to get points, check out www.mypoints.com . The downside is you get lots of e-mails, many 5-point earning, many not, surveys are redundant and time consuming, you may not qualify for many surveys but you get a max # of points each day for non-qualifying. If you visit their shopping sites, be careful, but you can get anywhere from 1 point per dollar to 10 points per dollar spent (some more, especially if you like magazines). It takes a while to amass points, however they do not expire, and are redeemable for gift cards (both physical cards and e-cards). The positive - points do not expire and you spend points on whatever gift cards you may find useful. This definitely comes in handy when getting gift cards for people for the holidays. This year I cashed in $550.00 in gift cards which came in handy for the holidays and did not cost me anything out of pocket.
Note that MyPoints is a GPT company (where you “get paid to” do various tasks and activities (like the examples given by @VickiB). I participate in the program but prefer it’s sister company called Swagbucks because you can earn points (aka “bucks”) a lot faster IMHO, and they are worth more because gift card redemptions on MyPoints cost more.
Either way, both companies are owned by Prodege and are great ways to pick up a little extra guaranteed cash in that you don’t have to redeem your points for a chance to win, but can just buy gift cards. Threads about both of them belong in the GPT sub-forum of the Contests, Sweeps & GPT parent forum.
I’ve been building an intro/overview thread about Swagbucks here: https://phatwalletforums.com/topic/493/swagbucks-tips-offers-discussion-thread. Feel free to reply to that thread with any questions about SBs. We don’t yet have a general discussion thread for MyPoints, but you’re welcome to create one @VickiB (it would be great to have a summary/overview MyPoints thread too!). Likewise, if you guys know of other legitimate GPT programs, please feel free to post about them in the GPT forum and share your tips and advice about them. I’d love to see members of this group branch out to other areas of this site rather than fade away because your Bee program was devalued.
Note that although both companies offer referral bonuses, posting your referral link for any purpose is not allowed on Phatwalletforums. However, you can request a referrals directly through chat or publicly here: https://phatwalletforums.com/topic/133/official-request-a-referral-thread

@sweetclover said in Free Can of Blue Buffalo Wet Dog Food at Petsmart - Petsmart Petperks Members Expires 1/12/18:
Please use the add-a link-function (Linking chain symbol), instead of c&p long links in a post. They almost always break. It only takes a few seconds to use the add-a-link function. You can give it a name, or simply say something like “click here” or “link”.
Please note that @dangeRuss does not want links posted using the linking tool, but wants them copied and pasted to allow the auto-insertion of pictures and product/website blurbs to work. If copying and pasting is causing links to break, he definitely needs to look into that since he doesn’t want us to use the link tool for links to deals.
