This is an Amex offer.
No @fivetalents, it is not an ‘Amex Offer’ the offer is activated at Amazon, not Amex. But I think I get what you mean, added Amex to the tile @MrVietnam , hope you’ll understand just to make it clear.

Exploiting a vendor’s flawed system is “unethical”.
I miss FW.Even on FW people kind of frowned upon this sort of thing. I miss FW too FWIW, especially this time of year when they had the Black Friday TShirt contest and they’d send out the shirts to just about everyone who posted a hot deal. Still have a nice collection of FW shirts and other stuff.

After waiting a week, I finally received $40 for my cart recycling on 11/1. So this week is actually the 3rd week of this promotion with two more weeks to go, Now I am just waiting for the $40.21 I earned yesterday to have be added to my rewards balance. It shows us in my rewards activity but just hasn’t been added to my available rewards balance yet.
Remember: the 5th week of this promotion the $10 purchase can be satisfied by buying free after rewards batteries. You can also by a pack of free after rewards batteries on 12/1 or 12/2 and satisfy the $10 purchase requirement for recycling for December, too.
you really lucked out by recycling on 11/1 @MrVietnam glad it worked out. Office Depot has always been good to me when it came to crediting missing rewards as where Staples has at times given me a hard time even when I was due the credit (ink recycling).

Someone on SD reported the first successful transaction from yesterday.
Nice. That means I will go to Office Depot this afternoon. Hopefully by tomorrow my $40 manual credit from 11/1 will post, too.
@MrVietnam what’s the verdict about buying online and recycling in store the same week? People on SD said it was OK but I’m still not 100% certain and don’t want to screw myself.

yes, but not sure what kind of coupon will be available w/that $29 BF paper. this comes out to about $22.50 per case, so pretty good.
Last BF, I think Staples had a $25 Visa Checkout deal wys $100? not sure if that will repeat, haven’t been seeing the Visa C/O deals as much of late at any merchant.

@my4mainecoons said in Staples.com Plus Members $15 off $60 code = Two Cases of Hammermill Copy Paper + small filler for $45 (approx) + tax shipped:
@mistercheap I’ve noticed that the price for paper has been gradually dropping over the year. They were wanting $6/ream at one point. Now when its on sale its ~$3/ream.
I used to resell paper for $2 ream. Now I’m charging $3 since I don’t have as much.
Found a pack of photo paper recently…Hi Maine,
$6 a ream was the going price for buying a single ream, however, at Office Depot, there have been periodic offers throughout the year to buy 10 ream cases for $29.99 (or even less with a coupon).
There were a few deals (not many) on single ream paper here and there, but if you got it for $3 a ream single, you were doing good.
This is the best price on HAMMERMILL in a long time, this was the paper that was often free after rebate at Staples in the old days (both each and case type rebates)

Should this be in HD?
yes I moved it. Plus this is a printable coupon type deal that requires a trip to the store and often you are responsible for sales tax in many states. so always HD.
Where is there a printable coupon?
not this particular offer but many times it is a coupon you print out for these free bag deals. either way, a trip to the store is required, value more than $10, etc, sales tax required for some, so HD type post.

That’s how I read it, MC. Rite Aid is wising up. I think they will soon not be letting you keep earned Bonus Cash if you return the item(s) you earned the Bonus Cash on, This is all coming to different areas at different times, I don’t know many details about it beyond what I posted from other sources.
It sounds like after a return you will have to call them to get your Bonus Cash used added back to your account, so you will need to hang on to your receipt.
I can understand about forfeiting new bonus cash earned on that item, if you return the item, but you shouldn’t have to jump through hoops to get back the BC you initially used to pay for the item you returned. One thing has nothing to do with the other, guess they just want to make it harder, hoping people won’t call in and they don’t have to put it back on their accounts.

There is a new update that once your area gets it will mean you can;t keep the Bonus Cash you earned on a purchase you returned (it used to be the case you could):
Here are the new terms once your area gets the update:
If you void a purchase or return your purchase, Rite Aid will deduct the BonusCash that was awarded for that purchase from your wellness+ account. If you have already redeemed that BonusCash, this could potentially result in a negative BonusCash balance in your account, which you may restore by purchases of other qualifying merchandise.
With the new system you have to call them 24 hrs or more after your return (you must keep the return receipt and give them the trans number other wise the receipt doesn’t even show up on your account, that’s the problem) , and they put the bc back on your account that you used to purchase said return.
I also noticed the other day when I did a return the Wellness points I earned were subtracted from my Wellness points total. That never used to be the case.
So if you used BC to pay for an item that earned new BC and you return, they remove the new BC earned and don’t credit back the BC you used automatically?

No, not IMO, same but the activation fee is higher on the variable load so less of a MM.
PS, don’t think the digital Q works on variable, must be $100 Pre selected value ones.
MrV, Did you actually purchase a variable $20-500 VGC?
Also, the benefit I see to getting the $500 is the Chase Ink 3% back on grocery store purchasesdisregard my comment @MrVietnam said it’s confirmed on the variable. only good for those who can max out CC points from it with respect to a MM.
MC, did you change my thread title? If so, why? I put Safeway and Affiliates and I think you or another mod changed it to Safeway, & related chains Acme. Alberstons, etc: I think most people would understand what Safeway and Affiliates meant, don’t you? You should try to not make it a habit of changing poster’s thread titles, but of course, as you always do, feel free to post in the thread and add to the conversation.
Mr. V,
I never omit info, just add info. Not everyone knows what chains are related to Safeway, and Acme hasn’t always been, plus Acme is about the only east coast chain and as someone pointed out, had I not added it, they wouldn’t have known.
Please don’t take a slight modification to ‘add info’ as an insult Mr. V, was just trying to make the deal better known by listing specific chains, obviously it got the thread many more visits .

@mrvietnam said in Office Depot 20% bonus rewards (25% VIP) on purchases with code or Print Q (.com or B&M) to 11/9. Stacks with Mr. V's bonus ink recycle post:
Maybe because the 25% bonus rewards is not tied to a certain product and is more across the board, you could double dip. I don’t think I will chance it. I would rather receive the $20 bonus for recycling then just a few dollars for the 25% bonus on my $10 spend. Closer to Black Friday I am almost positive there will another 100% back in rewards battery deal, so that would be an easy way to get the $10 spend, too. I will buy the bubble wrap now with the 25% coupon and then do the 100% battery deal later in the month just to make sure I get a qualifying spend in there for ink recycling.
DOUBLE DIP CONFIRMED! I read on sd it has been confirmed that you can use the 25% extra rewards in conjunction with the bonus recycling offer.
From SD:
Made a 10.99+tax purchase yesterday and paid with 2 regular GCs – 2.32 remaining balance from GC1 counted (got $0.58 for 25% rewards) but 9.80 used from GC2 didn’tGC1 starts with 63672602 (counted)
GC2 starts with 63672600 (didn’t count)@MrVietnam that’s no surprise, the 25% rewards offer is tied to the purchase of products, the wording “can’t be combined w/other bonus rewards offers on the SAME OR SIMILAR” refers strictly to the ink recycle. couldn’t double dip if there were some other kind of ink recycle offer going on.

RE: Expired: Staples 11/10-11/16/19: $4 BACK for recycled ink cartridge (limit 20 if you are a Premier or a Staples Plus member, 10 for everyonbe else)
@my4mainecoons said in Staples 11/10-11/16/19: $4 BACK for recycled ink cartridge (limit 20 if you are Premier member):
@mistercheap I think “shaft” is a little harsh. Most experienced recyclers did it at the end of the month. When the surprise weekly promos disappeared I thought about recycling earlier in the month but really nothing to gain by doing that. I recall having double ink recycling in a week that spanned end of the month and beginning of a new month. We got double for 2 mo. doing that. It’s the only time I’ve recycled at the beginning of a month.
yes, just a figure of speech, but…still, if you already recycled like @MrVietnam has, you are pretty much out of luck. So call it what you like…but, it’s a rather inflexible policy on Staples part. Let’s face it if you PURCHASED a computer last week for $400 and it went on sale a week later for $320, they’d give you $80 back within a window of time, no such consideration on the ink recycle.

RE: Where do you buy tires for your vehicle?
There will be great sales on Black Friday. Walmart, PepBoys, etc.
Typically a deal to get 4 tires with free install/balance at a great sale price when you take the road hazard warranty (PepBoys) don’t think WalMart forces that. Good thing is, they give you a window for the install as long as you buy them then. You can also get cashback via portal on these deals for extra savings. They carry most popular sizes for all kinds of cars/SUVs/Trucks.
so if you can wait about 3 weeks, you’ll be saving some serious money.

@mrvietnam said in Staples 11/10-11/16/19: $4 BACK for recycled ink cartridge (limit 20 if you are Premier member):
Since I recycled on 11/1 already, there is no way I could get this promotion, right? Even if I recycled 20 more carts next week, they would pay me for the 20 I recycled first. I agree with Maine. I think I will start recycling at the end of the month rather than the beginning. My punctuality cost me $40 in this instance. However, I bet this double credit for cart recycling is only a once a year thing.
yeah, it’s a bummer when that happens. at least OD’s offer is the entire month, Staples should mirror their offer, not this one week where people who already recycled last week get the shaft.

@mistercheap it was $29 for Amazon Prime Day and a month (?) after. In that thread someone who had Plus wanted to renew for $29 but couldn’t. Can’t recall if he posted how long he needed to wait before he was eligible for a new member deal again.
Pretty sure there was a $19.95 offer, not $29.

great!!
was going to run by Staples today in fact but not now. Will definitely do this next week.
BTW, many of us signed up last BF time for the Staples Plus program, and that runs out (for me 11/24). (pay $49, got a $20 staples coupon promo).
So not sure how long you have to be out of the program to sign up as a ‘new member’ again assuming there’s a special in December 2019. Not going to pay $49 with no incentive, think there was a $20 new member offer not too long ago.

RE: [Update: $25 eGC for $20 Option Added] $50 Steak 'n Shake eGift Card for $40 @ PPDG via PayPal.com, Exp 12-31-2019
just a heads up that Steak and Shake as a chain has been having some issues financially lately. Closed a fair number of stores in the last year, so if you buy their gc’s don’t hold on to them too long.

@KohlsPowrShopper do you know if we have that same 20% and $10/50 Home Code to play with the first two hours (12-2AM ct) on 11/25?

Just FYI,
had some issues the first go round with items which should count, not counting on SStar.
The gillette razors and the secret deod. never credited, had to write them, they wanted all UPC’s, scanned recpt., etc.
turns out none of the UPC’s were in their database for the offer, they added the spend for me, but I was truly surprised. Of the $50 in qual. stuff I bought, only $14 showed up. I did finally get the credit however, just more work than I anticipated.
Ka-ching! Thanks, MC. I contacted Savingstar customer support with the items I bought that didn’t count, their UPC numbers, and the amount paid (I did not submit receipts) and a few days later I got this reply:
Dear MrVietnam,
Thank you for contacting SavingStar Customer Support.
I apologize for any inconvenience you’ve experienced. I took a look at your account and sure enough you should have received those savings. We will look into why your purchases didn’t post, but in the meantime I credited your account with your rewards. This should show up in a day or two.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Regards,
Customer Support
SavingStar.ComGlad it worked out Mr. V $15 is a sizeable rebate and I’m still amazed at how messed up the tracking has been on the P&G one. someone obviously dropped the ball on loading all the literally hundreds of UPC’s codes that probably qualify for this given promotion.
