Since it takes $1 to earn 10 crowns, this is like you had spent $2.50 OOP. Not worth very much ((especially since it takes 250 points just to get a small hash browns, for example), but every little bit counts.
yeah, that’s how I look at it too. Might as well take advantage of it.

RE: Free a/IBOTTA ($1.98 fixed) MOUNTAIN DEW ZERO 20oz bottle at many popular drug/grocery/convenience stores
@my4mainecoons said in Free a/IBOTTA ($1.98 fixed) MOUNTAIN DEW ZERO 20oz bottle at many popular drug/grocery/convenience stores:
@mistercheap I had this as a freebie last year and never found it. I checked Shaw’s, Walmart, Rite Aid and other stores without success. Of course I only looked when I was in a store for another purpose. I recall getting a different Mountain Dew freebie last year and pouring it down the drain along with other funny energy drink freebies.
Yes, think this is a repeat. Think I found it in Florida when I was down there at either Publix or Walmart.

haven’t located the ZERO in this yet (has to be original Mtn Dew Zero). only finding the Diet which doesn’t qualify.
Have you tried Target? That’s where I found mine at.
Don’t get there in person too often, not worth a trip for a 20oz free soda really. Looked in Rite Aid yesterday, no go.

From DOC today: “But I ended up finding several recent posts confirmed by multiple people that tracked cash back from Giftcards.com to sites like Rakuten and airline portals are being reversed.”
Total BS. Granted it may not be TCB’s fault in this situation, but they do need to have their customer’s backs with shady merchant activity such as this. Reversed on what grounds? Just don’t feel like paying out the money?

That seems to be their standard response to every denial @c3
Exactly! I never got my Thanksgiving and Christmas OD cash back and the 2 $2.5 “bonus” they dangled for! They both tracked but the cash back was “declined by merchant citing different channel”. What different channel? I don’t use any other portals (haven’t used the old cashrebate portal for almost two years now). What makes me sick to stomach is that I didn’t need those items but made those transactions just because of the $2.5 “special promotions.” Now I’m going to sign up for another portal. So sick of TCB!
It’s a joke. and I question the accuracy of a lot of what ‘they claim’. As you state, what other channel? How does something track in the first place just to be ‘another channel’. I can understand if you returned the stuff and its reversed but not this crap where it’s pending for 2 months and mysteriously is reversed a week prior to it being payable as happened with my giftcards.com money.
Other portal could be something like honey or maybe even ibotta (not sure if they do trackable links).
I have NO extensions on my browsers. and the smoking gun is, the sale IS initially reported with the CB as ‘pending’ then weeks later it mysterious gets declined with no real info. if you open a ticket they claim they did an ‘investigation’ and come back with the used other marketing channel line. If you did indeed use a different CB click through or extension first, they’d never get notification of the transaction to start with.

Lucky I stocked up on these before inflation set in when they were still only $10 a box on sale.
I think those were the standard ones, not the Clorox Pro to be precise. Since these are different SKU can get $2 back for a review. The force flex bags really are our fav. garbage bags. Didn’t get for myself but sent some to family.

@mrvietnam said in Office Depot.com with store pick up Case of 24ct Office Depot Brand Water (16.9z) $2.99 ea (average price but good way to spend rewards):
$1.99 is a good deal. $2.99? Not so hot IMHO, but as you say a good way to use rewards at overpriced Office Depot), especially since I don’t get charged the recycling fee on online orders w/ in-store pick up but I can get $1.20 back if I recycle. Making it a net $1.79 a case for me.
I wish Office Depot would have the $1.99 a case price again.
with trucking/fuel costs way up, I’m not seeing $1.99 for 24 anywhere lately even at Aldi. Best sale around here right now is a 35 ct case at LIDL for $2.99 but it’s not real close so I have to factor in the price of gas which is now close to $4 per gallon to drive there. I too wish it was $1.99 w/b happy to load up at that price. at least you get the benefit of the deposit back, so I’d jump on it at $1.79 net. you’re not going to pay that anywhere else.

I have Premier and there’s a $35 minimum for free shipping. So is paying for Plus a better deal than earning free Premier?
Dear Staples Rewards Premier Member,
Thank you for being a Staples Rewards® member. We’ve made some updates to simplify the program. We’d like to take some time to explain what this means for you.
The new changes are:
Delivery is now free with an order of $35 or more*
Consistent with our sustainability efforts, we’ll no longer mail ink and toner rewards – they will be available online.Resellers are not eligible to earn or redeem rewards
We remain committed to ensuring our Rewards program is valuable. You’ll continue to enjoy these benefits:2% back in rewards*
$2 back in rewards on ink + toner recycling*
Member-exclusive deals
Bonus sales events
Free, expedited refunds
$25 annually for in-store print and marketing services
$20 annually for in-store technology servicesKeep in mind if you order from a Kiosk in store, shipping is free for all orders. You’d have to save $49 in shipping costs to break even, so that’s your benchmark. Also, if you’re already allowed to recycle 20 on your premier status per month, the free shipping is really the only benefit you are getting for your $49.

@mrvietnam said in Rite Aid NEW Rewards Program February 2022 - EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK! Video:
Green to you for the post, green to Ravi for the sneak peek, but red for the new program.
Since we will only get a return (in the form of BC) of 2% and that is only if you manage to spend $100 at RA over a 90 day period and we are losing our 20% Gold discount, that means shopping at RA starting 2/27 will result in an 18% loss (or, in other words, it will get 18% more expensive to shop there) of what we used to get as compared to what we will get under the new program.
RA used to be my go-to store for deals, but I am not very impressed with the early details of this new program. Having the Gold discount go away will be a huge loss. I probably won’t be shopping so much at RA going forward. All I can say is I am glad I got on the RA bandwagon when the getting was good and have accumulated a very large stockpile my family and I can live off of for many years to come, not to mention the 7.5%!inflation rate now (highest in 49 years).
I guess the best deal approach now is to shop at a variety of stores whenever they have a good deal and not necessarily have one go-to store. The deals everywhere, not just at RA, seem to be drying up. Probably the one store I am most impressed with these days is Big Lots. You can score some really good deals there, especially with their short-dated clearance items and they have nice coupons if you join their rewards program. I like the $5 off $15 coupon they give you after you make 3 purchases. That is a 33.3 percent discount on their already cheap prices.
@MrVietnam I’d venture to guess that there will be ‘point’ offers tied to products ontop of the base 2% earn. Plus point offers with spend amounts and similar offers to how BC works now. I’m taking a wait and see approach. Granted, the gold discount was nice to have but often times when Items were on sale, they didn’t factor in anyway.
Guess we’ll just have to see what they roll out with this and hope for the best.
Actually the Gold prices did factor in in the past for many years until fairly recently when RA changed the rules.
Oh its a loss, just saying there were times when they didn’t factor in due to sale prices anyway. Hopefully the changes won’t be as bad as we think, but not getting my hopes up too high.
