RE: Office Depot B&M Only - 25% back in rewards on $100 purchase of 'HAPPY' Gift Cards up to $25 to 8/15
@mrvietnam said in Office Depot B&M Only - 25% back in rewards on $100 purchase of 'HAPPY' Gift Cards up to $25 to 8/15:
I saw this security issue about Happy gift cards on another website:
One way to solve the problem the article said is to go to a merchant where they were accepted and bought that merchant’s gift card with the Happy Cards.Earlier today I went into Office Depot to purchase a Happy Gift Card. During my visit I discovered that the packaging does not conceal any card information. The following information is completely visible without opening the packaging:
Full Card Number
Expiration Date
CVV Codehttps://milestomemories.com/happy-cards-warning-information-security/
yes, best to spend them right away. can’t believe they are so lax with their packaging.

RE: CVS: Two Free LARGE Scope MW's with stacked EQ's and ECB's, APP Q $5 off $25 FOOD ITEMS (Drinks, Candy, Groceries) ymmv ex 8-16
@mrvietnam said in CVS APP Q $5 off $25 FOOD ITEMS (Drinks, Candy, Groceries) ymmv ex 8-16:
With the $5 off discount it might bring the price of their groceries to almost the regular grocery store prices.
Mr. V with the right sales, app Q’s and manu Q’s there may be some good deals. I don’t have a scenario right now, but some of us get the $10 ECB each month for the yearly program, so if I can find a way for minimal OOP to use that with some things I have to buy anyway, I might try and use it this week. My new $10 ECB drops tomorrow.

RE: Double Ink Recycling at Staples B&M starts 8/9 ENDS 9/19!!
@mrvietnam said in Double Ink Recycling at Staples B&M starts 8/9:
I recycled my 20 empties today and out printed a coupon for $10 off a $20 purchase and it doesn’t expire for 3 weeks.
If you need hand sanitizer, I noticed they were having a manager’s special for 169 fluid ounces of a no name brand hand sanitizer for $34.99. I wonder if my $10 off coupon would work on that. That would be a smoking hot deal if I could get it for $24.99. Maybe literally smoking hot if I stored it in a hot place. I would also have to make sure it had no wood alcohol (methanol) in it as an ingredient. Plus if you are Premier you would get 5% back in Rewards, too.
you should be able to stack your $10/20 with a rewards check too. won’t earn rewards, but stretches the value of your rewards value.

@mrvietnam said in Office Depot B&M Only - 25% back in rewards on $100 purchase of 'HAPPY' Gift Cards up to $25 to 8/15:
There’s no coupon you have to get the cashier to scan in conjunction with this offer, right? I guess it’s like batteries and if you buy the right product the rewards automatically generate.
Right, must give your rewards # at purchase however. No ink spend qualifier here. No fees on happy cards. Then they wouldn’t bring anyone much happiness!

@MISTERCHEAP Good news. The deal is actually a MONTHLY deal, so you have a full 20 days for them to restock. I’m sure they will restock multiple times before the deal ends, so I’m sure you’ll be able to get in on the deal later on in the month.
That’s great, also need to check my credit cards for RA offers (5% back)

@mistercheap you fall into the category of “don’t use ink”. Some of us
"… faster than lightening, no one you see is smarter than he…"granted, just providing all the things to consider before anyone pulls the trigger on $75 worth.

@my4mainecoons said in Double Ink Recycling at Staples B&M starts 8/9:
Even if you don’t have Premier or Plus 40% of $75 = $30
$75 ink, recycle 10.
Get back $30/$75, $40 for recycling 10. Effectively $5 to recycle for the next 6 months.
3% back through TCB and 5% from cc negate sales tax.But yes, just spending $30 on ink is better deal if you don’t use ink.
Not only that Maine, in my case (and I’m sure others) some printers can take generic inks you can buy super cheap on Ebay or AMZ so no advantage to spending any more than $30. If you are locked into brand name inks or toner for your printer like HP or Samsung and you price match to spend $75 of fairly priced ink, it’s a good deal. or if you are going to try and flip it and recoup a fair portion of your OOP.
