The price is actually $45.50. this is lowest price I have seen for the tap. This is an Alexa enabled device but in this version you have to press a button for it to respond. The interesting thing is you can override the button so it is voice enabled just like the larger version. This one has the advantage of being smaller and portable with battery power.

@597404 Thanks - picked one up, but only after asking them to check back in the stockroom. The Staples app on my phone (and Brickseek) both said there were 11 in the store.

The sign for ice melt said $4 but I didn’t have it price checked. Can’t remember how much the liquid was but it was more than $2… you really think the liquid will work? I don’t care so much about the pet safety since my cats don’t go outdoors but wondering if it will really prevent ice.

@ukedog Just Googled. I’d never heard of Five Below before. Do the same folks own both? Little rubber creatures sitting on desk to hold your smart phone up at an angle. a cat that you unscrew the rear half to reveal that its a pen, Woolite laundry bags & hangers, doo-dads to organize cables, cheap USB adapters. Looks more like a dollar store, less like a place I’d shop for a business.

@my4mainecoons Lol, not the same owners (I hope!) Just a fer-yuks “directional” comment.
Five Below has a dollar store vibe, but lacks that much ambiance! One trip there will make going to Dollar General seem like Nordstrom.
Btw the last year has been pretty sad, in general, for clearance deals at both Staples and Lowe’s. With my local Kmart shuttered, I’m down to what’s left of Sears. I might even have to get a new hobby.
