Email notifications for subsequent edits to a post?

Hello, I rely on the system to automatically email me notifications of new posts to a Forum on my mobile when I am not on the system. I have not been getting email notifications of all posts which has puzzled me and I have figured out why. The system only sends one email notification per post and it does not send a notification when an existing post is edited. Example:
94.9 A.I. Invasion (Original post, included in notification sent)
7:10 Name2 (Original post, included in notification sent)
8:10 Name2 (Edited post, notification is not sent)
9:10 Name3 (Edited post, notification is not sent)Is there a setting that I am missing to receive email notifications for subsequent edits to a post? If not, may I request this as an enhancement to the system if it makes sense?

I think what would help me is for email notifications to be sent for new post and edits to existing posts. I know this enhancement is not something that most would want so please consider a toggle. Does anyone know how this worked on FatWallet?
