Nagging Wi-Fi problem



  • Just solved a WiFi problem I have had for a week or 2.
    My phone and wife’s phone wouldn’t use Wi-Fi, would show connected to my router, but if you switch off cell data you couldn’t pull a web page, similarly the PS3 we use for streaming stopped connecting as well,
    however our tablets and computers worked as expected over Wi-Fi.
    In my router settings, I noticed the channel was set to auto, I selected a random channel, and now everything is working as it should.

  • Some phones can’t see channels above 13. I had the same problem when the router was set on auto channel. Sometimes the phone would connect, other times not. Finally changed to manual channel select, chose channel 11 and everything’s been fine since.
