But I do see that our forum shows up on google’s first page when searching for Phat Wallet. Maybe just for me and my IP address, but I think we’re getting a lot of hits compared to other forums on P.W.

@aztec4life I think the comment about negative points is referring to negative points with the radio station DJs and promotions people. If they read this forum, sometimes they might be a bit upset about some comments here. We’ve talked before about how it’s not a good thing to be known by the stations as a frequent winner, and adding negative comments to that can’t help.
I think everyone here tries hard and deserves to win, but this comes to mind:
Beggers can’t be choosersI think we all need a reminder now and then that in the end this is for fun and we aren’t entitled to the wins.

@Glorypants @aztec4life adding to the thought. Unfortunately, we have a forum user that might be getting singled out by the DJ’s and call screeners and I worry that they might be doing that because of unfriendly comments posted here (hence negative points). A while back someone reminded us that the DJ’s are people too and can get their feelings hurt and they are just trying to get through their day just like us. We need to also remember that the reason Radio Stations do contests is to gain loyal listeners, NOT to get a forum full of users hopping around on a bunch of stations repeat winning prizes and never really listening to their station. If you participate on this forum, the Radio Station’s are a part of our lives (like family or a co-worker) that we interact with often so next time let’s show them a little compassion (and stop the unfriendly posts here) when their website doesn’t work, get a code/name wrong or they hangup accidentally on us, etc. Happy Friday everyone!

On a similar note, I think Abel from 91X has a grudge against my wife and I… We try to be very friendly and thankful though in person, with any/all stations when we meet in person or on then phone. Oh well

@glorypants bummer, sorry. I worry about that scenario myself, getting on their bad side might be hard to dig out of especially not knowing how you got there. I hope you can turn that around.

@glorypants wow, this reminds me that the entertainment industry is so volatile adding to the grumpiness of the employee’s that we interact with. I know if I worked in the industry I wouldn’t want to deal with any criticism from listeners or repeat contest winners. I hope that Abel is able (pun intended) to or has already got a better job because it sucks being unemployed!
