@casas I believe that is why it is “This hour’s Codeword” otherwise you could just keep texting the Same one Word all Day, Would be the “Word of the Day”… 949 announces the winner (10am), they mention Name & Word…__Listen each day at 9:10am (PT), 10:10am (PT), 11:10am (PT), 12:10pm (PT), 1:10pm (PT), 2:10pm (PT), 3:10pm (PT), 4:10pm (PT), and 5:10pm (PT) for the station to announce a unique keyword , and then enter by either (i) texting the announced keyword to 61749 or (ii) clicking the appropriate contest link at alt949radio.com/contests and filling out the entry form.----(Not just Any word, the one just announced) Why it is only said Once & never repeated, Why it is announced as “This Hour’s Codeword” ----This way, You have to be Listening more Often (BAIT) Otherwise, People could just catch the 9:10am word and Not Listen for the rest of the Day!! The Idea , is to keep people Listening throughout the day! Otherwise, a Word of the Day, could be Promoted 2-4 times per hour. Like 98.1 & KYXY, used to have 10 minutes to enter their Code, on weekend contests (Their Times were Very limited, Though People Here, would still be asking for the word 30 Minutes Later) Remember the DJ would always say, “Enter This within the Next 10 Minutes” They no longer say that…now you have the entire hour, Their word is, also announced Once Per hour & Is Only Good for that Hour. The first time they did that, I called, and was told…“The 10 minute limit was Removed, just make sure you enter it before the top of the Hour”…so the DJ said.
I have Not Called Ciro or Nicholis to be 100% , but a Unique word per Hour, sure sounds like a New Word per Hour, (Say, “HAPPY” good @ 9:10, But Not Good @ 10:01) …Different Contest, but like I-Heart, announced Every TWO Hours, yet, only Good for the Hour Announced!, not Two Hours. Try it, one second into the next Hour and it will tell you “We’re sorry, please check your keyword or listen to your fav iHeartRadio station at www.iheart.com for the next keyword”
