@ronzilla Haha, it sounds like it was par for the course today for you, nothing falling into place. I kind of did the same thing earlier, heard the end of the announcement to call on ? station (but didn’t hear what they were giving away) and it was for Haunted Hotel and I told them to give it to the next caller, I hate when I have to do that but I don’t like the Haunted houses. Tomorrow will be a better day!

@dstall63 another time…it was a pair of Hornblower bay cruises…Not the Rocking Cocktail or Dinner Cruise…just the cheapy 2 hour bay cruise…they didn’t say what it was for…I just, “OK, it’s time—caller 9 right now is gettin’ hooked up with those tickets” and I’m thinking it’s Beyonce & Jay-Z tickets!! -----I Hate wasting caller 9s on what I call “filler Prizes” …some small prize, just to fill the time//spot between giving away the Main Event Prize!

I was Streaming 91x to Monitor it—while listening to 2 other stations—BUT David Bowie is Still playing and 91X LIVE is into it’s 3rd commercial—the stream is WAY FAR BEHIND-----Glad I Switched to Real-Time!! The stream would make me Miss ALL Of Mumford & Sons!! the Streams are a mess Today!

98.1—2 lines ringing—I think I was too quick!! Hung up the First line and redialed—Dave is talking to me—I won–the Redial—WORKED…I told Dave I hung up the 1st line and redialed…He asked, “How many lines do you have Going?” … i said 2 …he clicked down the line until he hit mine----it was number 7>>I Couldn’t hear him, at first…kept asking, “What number am I??”–and he said, “:Hold on, first I need a Name” …I Knew I hit it!----He recognized me…and said, I’m sure we have you on file–then said my info----I Told him I was going to see the “Other” Dave Mason at the Balboa Theater Tomorrow—He thought that was Cool!

@seenya619 Sorry, but My Redial made me Caller #10–BTW…yes, that does happen…that idiot, Nathan on 93.3 does it to me all the time, “Hey who am I talking to and where are you calling from??” and after hearing me, says, “So Close, but you’re only caller 8!” .more than 10 times in the last 6 months!

@buzztrain --I have the words in my auto-fill that drops down when I click on the empty “Contest Keyword” …and just enter them until one gets accepted…the GLOW One Used to work that way, now it just accepts any word that has been previously entered

@Ronzilla @seenya619 It is weird that they know we are calling with 2 phones. FYI, my wife and I called on 96.5 and Susan picks up and tells me I am caller 2 and 7, really? She was right, I was caller 2 because I was talking to her and my wife was caller 7 waiting for her to answer. When she talked to my wife she was surprised it was a girl (and not me) and said, “oh, your husband must have been caller #2 because I just talked to him”.
!!! Entercom must have upgraded their phone system to connect to to their contest participant database so it will list addresses with the phone numbers, that is how Susan knew.
Another time I called 96.5 to pre-load before the popular contest was announced and my line timed out just before she announced the contest, I feverishly called to get in again and I did. Susan says, “you are caller # … wait … you were calling way before the contest started so you are caller #1”, I was probably the winning caller but since she noticed I was pre-calling she didn’t give me the win.
I guess this is a new dynamic we have to deal with for Entercom …

Yup, haha. Does caller I.D. list the address or was that an enhancement Entercom made to their phone system? This sucks because now they know if we are repeat winners or calling on multiple lines and pass us up for the wins. Heck, at some point they can enhance it to list “don’t pickup line” because the database knows that we have won recently ARGH, its coming! Big Brother hahahaha.
