Do you guys think a better CD will come along within the year at 1 year and greater than 2% interest? Trying to decide if I should go “all in” on this Ally 2% offer.

Since I don’t itemize, I’m getting a tax break. But it’s really not good for so many middle class people are getting a tax increase. Some of those itemized deductions were given to corporations under this tax bill, but not extended to the middle class. And middle class deductions like local and state taxes were taken out!

Not good.

@turtlebug If I have an existing 11 month no penalty CD with Ally (at 1.50%) will it automatically be upped to 1.75? (The high yield 12 month CD is at 2.0, the no penalty 11 month is now at 1.75)

And can I end that 1.75% CD and put it everything (including interest earned) into the 2.0 percent high yield CD?
