@harperr - Even if you missed all the picks, you were supposed to get 1000 points just for submitting the ballot. Neither my account nor my mom’s had points credited. I managed to online chat with redbox and they credited mine, but said my mom would have to contact them herself. I had saved screen captures of my and her ballots. Apparently redbox has no idea what is going on or how to confirm ballots were or were not processed.

The new playpass arrangement also apparently means that a free dvd now requires 15 rentals instead of 10. 100pts for dvd rental toward 1500pts for free dvd credit. Looks like they are going the way of credit card reward point devaluation but 50% is a bit steep in one move.

Or, just use the safari browser instead of the app. The batteries have a MTBF of a little over 2 years anyway.

Just helped my mom get her points. Apparently redbox still doesn’t have a clue. The first agent wanted her credit card numbers and closed the chat before she could get her purse. The second agent wanted the ballot copy but had no way to send via chat or email so she made her type them into the chat before she would credit the points. I think maybe the Nevada Gaming Commission should send some 300 lbs greasy looking dudes to ask them about how their “game” is being played.

@connman - It wasn’t the full number, just the last 4 digits. I thought they may be confused about card used for rental, but that also doesn’t make sense because any number of cards could be used for rental as opposed to one tied to the account, and the query didn’t involve any monetary transaction that would involve a card.
