Yes, you are correct. ONTV has changed it’s format to a larger, easy-to-read size.

Unfortunately, the new edition does not have space to include a weekly ONTV word, we had to remove that option from the page to avoid any confusion.

Thanks for the info. They should replace it with a different points earning opportunity. They could still utilize content from ONTV for a Sunday code word, like they used to have a question asking for, say, the name of the celebrity featured on page 4 (Jack Maxwell of “Booze Traveler”).

The answers posted on Saturday by @JJM432 were to Friday’s Reader Quest (the answers to which had already been posted by @milty on Friday). There was no Reader Quest on Saturday, and I don’t believe there will be one today, as the Bee appears to offer them only on weekdays.

The videos on the Triton / ClearChannel sites (e.g. Club B95 B-Mail Bucks) haven’t been working correctly for the past several days, taking more effort to earn the max points each day (because sometimes the videos scroll by really quickly by themselves without awarding any points, so the “refresh” button has been getting an extra workout).

I was able to use the Club B95 mobile site earlier, although the videos are not working right on any of the Triton or Clear Channel trivia sites, desktop or mobile. Instead of playing an ad, then the video, then automatically moving to the next ad and video, they just scroll through the list without awarding any points.

I am giving up and going to spend some time with my family.

When I tried to enter for any of the prizes yesterday on SacBee Rewards, all I got was the “processing” message for each one and a reduction in total points but NO confirmation of the entries in my “points redeemed history.” So now not only does the site not accurately credit points for activities completed, it didn’t acknowledge my spending of approximately 7,000 points. I’m waiting for a response to my e-mail inquiry about this issue.

@keespal, thanks for the tip about using Chrome instead of Firefox. I’ll try that today. The new site is so frustrating that your quitting is no surprise. The worst part of the situation is the loss of members of our community here on PhatWallet.

@VickiB, my MO has been to redeem points every day for entries in all the restaurant gift card giveaways (and Shen Yun) and up until yesterday had no problems with accurate redemption confirmation. I’ll edit this paragraph if things are back to normal today (probably not as I’m still unable to get the “games” category to award any points). [Edit 10:08 a.m. – used Chrome to enter giveaways and all was okay until the next item down the list from Shen Yun, when I again got the “processing” message, a reduction to my points total, but no confirmation in “points redeemed history.” That happened with the rest of the items I tried lower down the list. Boo. Hope the rest of you are having better luck, though likely we’re all in the same boat.]

The rewards program is supposed to be a FUN perk to being a subscriber to the Bee. The wonky site has put a huge damper on this. But I’ll keep plugging away for a little while. I really want those Shen Yun tickets, lol.

The past 2 days I noticed it took approx an hour before the read articles posted. Re watching videos, I click on Watch Video, wait for the ad, let it partially play, close it out, click on Watch video and repeat 4 more times. (Only end up watching part of the same video). Here are the points I received today. In reality, I Read articles prior to posting on FB (only me), so you can see the delay before the 750 points were posted. I believe they do not like negativity on their FB page which is why they always reply…"SacBee Rewards Please note the best and fastest way to get a reply is via email at beebuzzpoints@sacbee.com."

My routine is quite similar. I start with “reading” articles, then share one on Facebook, then move on to the videos. Points for videos have been pretty reliably credited, as long as I let the ad (and sometimes the actual video) run long enough to get the “you have rec’d 500 points” message to appear and clear before I click again to “watch” the next one. “Read article” points typically take forever to register on the “activities” page, which is why I do those first.

While my Facebook inquiry about the Reader Quest problem did not receive a written reply, they did fix the issue within 90 minutes of my post reporting the glitch (was getting a message saying I’d already completed Reader Quest when I had not).

The frustrations @dynamiteGmother described where her name was on the winner’s list but later removed certainly are maddening. Sorry that has happened to you twice. Next time you win, take screenshots of the winner’s list with your name so you can provide that to the Bee along with the e-mail notification that you won (assuming they send an e-mail, I haven’t won anything yet). Show them proof that they cannot refute – so that they have to honor the prize.

@VickiB, you’ve made me wonder about the weekly point leaders. Wouldn’t it pretty much be a tie between all the people who completed all the tasks for that week? (Once everyone’s migrated Bee Buzz Points are taken out of the mix.) If so, that info doesn’t seem to me to have much value.

I’d be super excited, though, if they’d put “points redeemed history” and “get points history” on separate pages.

It worked for me yesterday, but not today. Today I only received points for sharing. I even made sure the little comment popped up. “Thank you for reading an article. You have earned 150 points.” I tried again this evening and received 450 points even though I read about 10 articles

When I logged on today, 750 “read articles” points had been credited to my activities log. Those were yesterday’s, as I hadn’t yet started any of today’s tasks. What will be interesting to see is whether I’ll be able to earn points for reading articles today.

Yes! The mobile version of the B-Bucks page at http://club.b95.com/m/MobileLogin.aspx. You can get the same 13K video points as currently available on the soon-to-be-defunct Bee Buzz Points page. The national prizes are the same, though there aren’t as quite as many earning opportunities (the listen and win stuff on B-Bucks doesn’t come close to the read and win on Bee Buzz). If you want I can keep looking, there are more media outlets still participating in Triton / ClearChannel rewards and maybe there are some with earning opportunities close to what Bee Buzz Points had been offering.

I have looked at various newspaper subscriptions, no luck. Most you have to be a member (paid) or at least within their zip code range. I have also looked at the listing of members on morethantrivia.com Mostly radio stations and TV. I tried your mobile link you provided. Just took me to their site. No special 5k videos to click on. Just the normal ones. Perhaps you have a link to the 13 video links? I know it’s a lot of work, but a Plan B once the old Bee site goes away. Just a thought and as always, welcome to ideas and suggestions from others. Any ideas @fivetalents ?

I wish I could be of more help, but I don’t do these activities myself. Maybe it would be helpful for one of you to post a brief explanation of your (former) program, the recent changes, and a summary of what you’re trying to accomplish going forward in the national Clear Channel thread… along with a request that they help by posting any tips/feedback in this thread. Some in that group are likely to have knowledge of other outlets or opportunities, even if they don’t use them themselves.

Thank for the suggestion. I’ll try to cobble together something over the next several days, unless someone else does so first (I’d do it sooner but haven’t time to think about the wording as carefully as is needed due to additional work hours).

Someone did already do this in a Facebook group and the group moderator (former main mod in the national trivia thread on FW) suggested just picking another active media outlet. But folks on that complementary thread on PhW likely would be willing to share other ideas.

Last week, I found a country station in LA that uses the same trivias as the old BeeBuzz site that we are all familiar with. So far I have earned 575,610 points. The national prizes are the same.

The last Sacramento radio station participating in Triton / ClearChannel reward was Jack-FM, which went away once the station converted to 93.7 The River earlier this year. To my knowledge the only TV station was FOX 40, but they dropped Triton trivia ages ago.

So far a couple of radio stations have been suggested, Go Country 105 in L.A. and B95 in Albany NY. I don’t know whether it matters which one we choose. The national prizes are the same, and I believe that they won’t care where we live, as long as we’re not messing with the true local prizes and only enter the national contests (and not trying to earn and redeem points via multiple media outlets).

I’ll go with whichever you guys think is best (either of the ones mentioned or another). That way we can still try to win the national prizes through a Triton/ClearChannel outlet, while giving the new SacBee Rewards a chance in order to shoot for local prizes.

And btw @taurus742 if you were to enter and win a restaurant gift card, I volunteer to be your dining companion (I’d pay for my own meal). I don’t like to eat alone either.

I’ll update this post as soon as possible with SacBee Rewards stuff. My work shift currently is such that I may not be able to be as active in the mornings as previously (for about the next 6 weeks), but I will eventually post any clues from the new rewards site not already posted by others and will respond to everyone’s posts about where we might migrate the Triton portion of our activities.

One thing I do wish to point out about Club B95 based in Albany NY …

Membership eligibility reads as follows:

“Unless otherwise specified in connection with particular offerings, participation in the Service is open only to natural persons who are residents of the Albany, NY metropolitan area and who are 13 years of age or older.” (Emphasis mine.)

The official rules for the $4K home for the holidays sweeps sets forth eligibility as follows: “The Sweepstake is open to all legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry. Each entrant must have a valid mailing address in the United States (a P.O. box will not suffice).” I haven’t checked each of the national prizes but since that’s the biggest one they have going, surely all the smaller ones have the same eligibility.

My reading of these two rules together is that they don’t care where you live as long as you aren’t trying to win the local prizes. But maybe L.A. would be better. If the Bee can characterize an AMC Theatres gift card as a “local” prize (with no locations nearer to Sacramento than the Bay Area), then maybe we could consider L.A. local?
