is it necessary to take a picture of the UPC from the product or is a picture of the receipt enough? It looks like on the form that you submit. It wants you to put both. Is that needed?

Nope. I just attached a picture of the receipt and got the rebate.

@pakle I work from the other direction, ie I purchase based on discount. e.g. Sumo Citrus are on sale this week for $1.97/lb. 😍 I’m buying one lb. at a time and using the $1/1lb. mq from 2/2 SS. Then I add fillers to use $10/$10’s and $5/$5’s making my receipt totals $2 or less.

Curious what is this $1/1lb. mq from 2/2 SS, $10/$10’s and $5/$5’s you speak of? Are they unlimited?

Got the email with $5 visa today. Took 5 days for anyone wondering.

When fruit goes on sale, it’s very easy for me to spend over $5 in one transaction.

I saw Sabra on clearance for $1.22 and tried the ‘redeem at store’ option. It shows a barcode that the cashier scans and deducts $1. So I paid $0.22. Quicker than taking a picture and submitting later.

That’s awesome. Do you know if it’s a coupon or a payment method? I’ve done a few of those payment method types and they are definitely hit or miss. Even when you the tell the cashier to do exactly as the instructions say to do, many times they can’t figure out how to get it to work so I try to avoid those.

It’s the OTC payment thing. Similar to the free Barilla and Perfect Bar deal last year. Can’t do it at SCO though, must go through cashier. I’ve done it many times and cashier never had a problem, doesn’t need a supervisor or override.

The app sucks. I still haven’t gotten the $5 Referral bonus in my bank account, and the app shows a blank page for “Payout history.” Never got the $1 Spin to Win to show up either. At least I got a couple Starbucks $5 so far and those showed up right away. As soon as they discontinue that, I’m disconnecting all my accounts and deleting the app.

Thanks for your screenshot above that shows their email address. I’ll put in on my calendar to contact them in a couple weeks for my $6 if it still doesn’t show up.

So here’s my experience. It worked fine at Kroger. The register accepted it right away even though it made it -$0.50 after the sale and digital coupon. But it would only take 1 per order. I tried to buy 2. The cashier suggested just doing a separate order but the digital coupon is only one per Kroger account, but my SO’s account isn’t under her phone number and I would have had to look it up so I just used mine so ended up getting it for $1.50 (they are on sale for $6). Took those and other stuff out to my car and went in and grabbed another to use with her account. I went to self checkout and the register accepted the coupon but gave an error since it was a negative balance. I assume the cashier was just going to make it zero, but he transferred it to his register and gave me the 51 cents! LOL I wasn’t expecting that. I had actually meant to grab something else so that it wasn’t negative, but totally forgot. So basically ended up getting 3 of them for $1. Not bad.

Lucky you! I tried AGAIN and it didn’t scan. The other day, I tried at 2 different QFC’s and it wouldn’t scan. Today, I tried at Fred Meyer and it also didn’t scan! Same error message each time. Don’t know why it just won’t work here. Anyway, the attendant at FM was nice and pushed it through.

I found a receipt in front of a pet store that had ‘Bully sticks.’ Didn’t know what it was until I looked it up (don’t have a dog). Got $1 from the ‘pet food’ category for that.

I found another pet store receipt that said “Millet.” Apparently some sort of bird food. Got $1 from the ‘pet food’ category for that too. I suspect they automatically give $1 for any receipt from well-known pet food stores. These things are not obvious pet foods but I’m getting $1 anyway so I’m not sure they even reading the receipts, unless they’re doing this manually.

@mtnagel Long story but yes for one and no for the other. Always YMMV if the cashier will override when it doesn’t scan properly. Wondering if it’s a Kroger issue or maybe it will work at other retailers.
