On the “See all chats” page the text entry box is only one line tall, when there is ample room for a much larger box. This makes it difficult to enter all but the simplest of chats. Also, it has been my experience that hitting a carriage return (yep, I’m old) sends the chat instead of entering a new-line–this is not intuitive, especially if the visible lines are increased.

This behavior might have changed, but I don’t want to spam some poor user to try this out.

Note: I am using no skin.

@fivetalents It is whatever the default was. I did see this morning that there was now 3 lines visible.

I can’t find it now, but I was on some other page doing a chat and even though there was tons of available room, I had the “mail slot” to type into. This was not a pop-over dialog page, but just a flat page that I was chatting on. Unfortunately, I can’t find it now.

Ah, I found a previous post by mulox that got me on the right track. In the “See All Chats”, the box to chat is still just over 1 line tall. There is plenty of room on this page for a proper text entry box.

Since most of us are new here, I’d like to ask if anyone else has just a 1-line high box to type PMs into. It sure makes it hard to see what you are trying to send. The problem may be mine and due to my very aggressive ad-blocking setup, but I thought I’d throw it out there.
