Hey guys. As some of you may know, I currently work for a FinTech startup (more info in bio). Even though I truly believe in the product and am confident that it can service consumers, we are having a difficult time gaining traction.
Do you guys have any suggestions on how we could gain more traction, aside from social media pages, cold emailing, and a little bit of advertising? I would love to hear.
Also, what are some of your favorite startups? Maybe I could check out their websites and gain some insight there.

I think your startup needs to choose between negotiating monthly bills or renegotiating debt. Two different animals.
There have been countless bill reduction startups in this space that failed. Throw in the fact that cable/satellite television companies and internet service providers are now straight-up not negotiating at all in many cases, throws into question your business model.
Also, there’s no way I (and probably a fair amount of other people) am going to assign money and pay your company, instead of paying the cable television bill, internet bill, phone bill, utilities, or whatever else you negotiate. I may not be your target customer, but that’s a big warning sign to me.

Possibly a future in negotiating medical bills. I can’t recall the forum or site but have followed discussions when people asked for guidance in attempting to drop a surprise medical bill. Most centered around finding out various negotiated “amount allowed” insurance rates and starting from there over the “Amount billed” amount they received. Even offering to settle for 50% seemed to be accepted by hospitals and Doctors.

I’m not sure but as mentioned above I’m also probably not your customer but with aging of America, increases in medical expenses and perhaps inability for individuals able/willing to negotiate billings it might be something to look into.
