I visited my closest store yesterday. They weren’t on the original closing list that I saw published but they now had the “Closing” banner across the front of the store. Inventory was pretty picked over but a line of about 8 to 10 folks waiting to check out. I found nothing of interest to me and I only saw a few categories with the percent discount signs posted. I checked the laundry detergent but the prices were easily beat by this weeks Walgreen’s ad.

I may swing by my local store to see what’s left. My find was when I found full sized Torani syrups for $2.99. I decided one was enough and went back and, of course, all were gone. Limited selection but for the price…

RE: Is digital better than POTS?
Several years ago I bought an Obihai brand VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) adapters and obtained a free Google Voice number. I was able, after configuring the device, to simply plug in any POTS phone and be done with it. Unfortunately HP/Poly, which now owns the intellectual property of the former company Obihai, discontinued production, sale and support of all VoIP devices that work(ed) with Google Voice. My understanding is there are no currently-produced VoIP products from any manufacturer that work with consumer Google Voice, and there are no plans to add any.
To answer your specific question is you might need to talk to your ISP and ask. Perhaps you can, depending on the equipment they use, plug your existing phones into it and be on your merry way.
Of course, depending on your “phone company” you may currently be using fiber and/or digital signals once it leaves your house anyway.
OK, I didn’t answer your specific question so should probably stop rambling.

RE: Order your free COVID-19 Tests End of September U.S. households will be eligible to order 4 free COVID-19 tests.
Ordered.
I noticed the confirmation page showed:
****Expiration Dates ExtendedTests may show “expired” dates on the box, but FDA has extended those dates; see the full list of extended expiration dates.****
I wonder if this is just a reminder for the tests already in circulation or a prewarning we may receive tests showing “expired” dates. Time will tell I guess.

If others are confused this link spells it out:

RE: Walgreens could close up to 25% of its US stores in the months/years ahead
I haven’t looked recently but the Walgreens subreddit was filled with employees complaining about conditions including Pharmacists and Pharmacy techs.
