They are in Canada, so I feel somewhat guilty about requesting something free from the USA. Now let’s see if/when it arrives.

Yep, my closest store is on the list. I actually shop there fairly often and yet my average purchase probably won’t even pay anyone for an hour of work. They even have been getting more inventory into the store after several months of pretty lean looking shelves.

Well, I’ve tried to support them. Over the past few months I’ve visited the local store looking for bed linens, accessories for both an air fryer and instant pot along with Sonicare tooth brush refills and a couple other things I can’t recall at the moment. Every time I left empty handed. I did order a shower shaving mirror online for store pickup and it was promptly cancelled.

When Linens and things finally closed I did get a nice heated mattress pad that now keeps my feet warm in the winter for half-price,

Ouch, I see they are advertising as being open Thanksgiving day when others are advertising they are closed.

If you missed out, do not despair. Over on Reddit, the BestBuy employees were complaining about having to unload and stack upwards of 250 Air fryers supposedly for Black Friday. I can’t recall the exact make/model, but it seems the “air fryer” is Black Friday’s appliance of the year. Well, at least one of the appliances.

Thanks all…seeing the $40 off $40 deal in this week’s ad prompted me to action. I took the “safe” approach and opened a second checking account at Ally and will basically fund it for Target Redcard purposes. Just finished the process of reporting their minimal deposits and debit to the account moments ago. Yay, one more PIN to remember!

Sorry if this isn’t in the correct forum, but I guess I’m late to the party and am now considering a Target redcard. More than likely the debit card version. Are there currently any concerns about connecting the card to your bank account? I realize I could possibly open a very basic account with minimal funds just for purchases but I’d rather not do that unless it’s strongly advised.

My research lands on a Target breach some years ago, but nothing recent, and I even recall receiving a notice from them about it. Along with possibly some length of credit monitoring or something.

I guess I’m a bit hesitant about things since over the last few weeks my TDBank credit card has been compromised twice. In the second event, I had literally just received a replacement card and decided not to activate it when I received notice an attempt was being made to use the card. It was literally still in the mailing envelope.

So advice on obtaining a Redcard? I hope they offer the $40 credit on a $40 or greater purchase again soon is also an incentive.
