I’ve hung onto them for up to 90 days. But you may want to check with Target.
[Updated] Sorry, should have been more specific. I’ve held onto T-mobile prepaid cards for up to 90 days, and it looks like this is the expiry period for these cards according to the (tiny) fine print on T-mobile’s page:

bummer, the lowest denomination T-Mobile card is $40 and they no longer carry the T-Mobile card in store. I have spare T-Mobile phone that I keep alive every year with a $10 refill. I guess I’ll have to check fleabay for $10 refill.
