Looks like a good deal, providing you go along with the software subscription model (not for me though).
I’ll limp along with Office 2010 for as long as I can, which seems ok even with Windows 10.
-
Subscriptions just keep you keep paying forever. There’s plenty of less costly alternatives.

I’d love to stop paying my subscription for Office. Can you make a suggestion?

@sarahb If you want to go totally free, there are free office compatible programs like Libre Office…otherwise check eBay. I bought a 3 pc copy of Office 2016 for just under $80, single pc around $40. I always buy from vendors with 100% feedback or at least 99.5 and have never had a problem with Office or Windows licenses.

@angryeyebrows thanks. I have to have MS Office for work but was always unsure about buying on ebay. Good to hear positive feedback.
-
good deal but i also will limp along with office 2010.

@fivetalents I don’t trust Google with my information. I search now using duckduckgo and never use Chrome.

Nothing you do online is secure anymore, regardless of whether you trust a company and/or their products/services. If privacy is your primary concern, your best bet is using physical software (e.g., DVDs, USB thumb drives, memory cards) on a device that is never EVER connected to the internet at any time. There are so many security breeches we don’t even hear about until years after they happen, but most of them we’ll never be told about at all… unless you spend time shopping on the dark web.

@fivetalents My Google concerns go beyond privacy and their profiteering off our data. Their search engines directly influence elections. There’s been some documentaries like The Creepy Line.
