**RESOLVED** Settings add Picture

  • Hi, I added a test Halloween photo of a ghost today and it worked. So I deleted that test photo and then tried to upload another photo, it uploads and displays but it always changes back to the test photo of the ghost. It is like it has the first picture still in memory or it is stuck. Can you help? Right now I am okay because when I delete the photo it defaults back to the default green icon with a “D” which I am okay with but would like to personalize with a photo. Thanks in advance.

Please post the pic here (I’ll delete it once I download it)… then I can try uploading it to your profile to see it it works/what happens.

I uploaded it. At first I downloaded it and saved the file with just the name “dstall63,” but at the last second, I decided to upload using the URL from your last post (that’s why I didn’t delete the pic yet)… just to decrease the chances of it reverting to a previous hard drive upload (which was less likely since I don’t have the test pic on my pc). Anyway… how’s it working?

  • @fivetalents Favor, the photo I provided before had a black background, can you please add the one below with the light background? I tried several times and no luck, reverted back to the test ghost picture … although I did not understand the URL thing so I didn’t try that. Thanks in advance!!!

Done. To use the website RL of an image instead of uploading a pic from your hard drive:

    • right click on image and select “copy link address”
    • when you edit your profile under “change picture,” and select “upload new picture from URL” instead of “upload a new picture”
    • control + V to paste the link address you copied in the first step
    • click “upload picture”
    • when you’re done cropping to the desired size and content, click “crop and upload”
    • scroll to the bottom of the page and click “save changes” <-- this may be where your problem is occurring.

You’re welcome. I actually ran into the same problem you described when I clicked save (it reverted to the previous image with the dark background no matter what I did). My solution was after (a) uploading the light background via URL to (b) upload the light background from my PC. Thay way, even if it reverts to the previous image, the previous image is identical to the current image. Hope that makes sense.
