Is this any good, and is the price any good? I am in the market, to replace my 5.1 system (too lazy to mount the rears in our new place). It’s kid shows and/or youtube on about 95% of the time these days anyway. Is $400 really worth it, or is a $100 sound bar just as good?

Price is great, check ebay completed sales or google the model number. This will sell out fast. I can’t speak for value in your case, especially if you use it for just the kids.

After further research the reason to get this bar is for the ATMOS which only 2017+ LG tvs are capable.

@mastroadam I believe other TV brands have ATMOS capability too. Or perhaps I read that some other brands have some ATMOS TVs in the works. Regardless, I have read mixed reviews but most are positive. It seems that, like any soundbar, the surround effect is minimal, but sound delivery is pretty good. I like that I can now hide a subwoofer behind the couch instead of next to my receiver. Of course, I could have always hidden it behind the couch, but that involves running wires, which is the same reason I haven’t setup the rear surround speakers yet. This should do the trick.

Got mine yesterday as well. I set it up, and man that app is HURTING. Convoluted Wifi setup. It sounds alright…I guess. The subwoofer needs some adjustment, which you can do in the app, and overall the sound quality wasn’t amazing but that was just streaming a song from my phone. Perhaps I need to get it hooked up to the Apple TV and play some Vue content through it. So far: unimpressed for $400. I’d be pissed if I spent $1000 on this thing, which is MSRP.

Well based on your review and one other on SD I decided to just flip it, sold for 425 on Craigslist in about 24 hours.
