Is Albertsons (SoCal) supermarket moving from "Saturday sampler" to one free item per month?

The Alberston’s Just4U digital coupon system has a name change and is not called “Albertsons for U”. In today’s email, it mentions “Free monthly Item” and the examples it includes items that were featured in their Saturday Sampler promotion. I guess we will only get one freebie per month instead of per week.

@cheerfuljam All of the J4u have been re-branded as storename4u.
I’ve been receiving a free item randomly in addition to the Sat. Sampler. Right now one account has a free cup of Silk yogurt (pass) and another has a free cup of Chobani probiotic yogurt which I will get if there is still an iBotta offer for it. Two weeks ago I got a jar of OO pb. It’s the 2nd if not the 3rd time I’ve had that. Pretty sure I got a free jar of Jif pb in the past 6 months. The random item has a higher $ value and includes brand names vs. store brand.
We used to get brand name products as Sat. Sample but not for a long time now. I remember free Chobani yogurt in a squeeze tube, Ore Ida, watermelon juice and similar products from the Produce cooler, etc.

Got two freebies yesterday at Marianos/Kroger. (pb and Kraft dressing)
Paper coupons were received via USPS and redeemed at checkout with Alt-ID (registered phone #).

@my4mainecoons No. Ms SOZ and I have different addresses for deal purposes. We each got a different bundle of paper coupons from Marianos. They arrive about 4x per year.

The account that I use the most doesn’t get the higher value freebies.
