Saw it. If you are a DA fan, you will enjoy it. Many gorgeous scenes, the essential random scandal, heartfelt ending. Stay through the credits.

I “thought” I watched it all on Amazon during a free trial of Prime.

@my4mainecoons No, your mistaken. Its available in theaters.
What you probably saw Downton Abbey. The Crawley family and their staff prepare Downton Abbey for a Royal visit in this cinematic follow-up to the beloved TV series.
-
@marvomatic I saw a Royal visit where the Downton staff got rid of the Royal kitchen staff. Some went to town and someone got locked in his room at Downton (?). Was that just a preview? Then there was one where Maggie Smith inherited a villa in the south of France while Mary got involved in film making on the Estate. The widow and her son were new characters. I can’t recall what happened other than the Countess died. 😕

@my4mainecoons Yes, that was the movie you saw, “I saw a Royal visit where the Downton staff got rid of the Royal kitchen staff” on Amazon. It was not a preview! The movie is on Peacock, where the Countess Dies, I don’t remember the ending, but the first movie is better on Amazon! .

The first movie about the “Royal Visit” is being shown on Netflix.
