Red "Unread Posts" Notification Now Needs to be Refreshed?

I have PW open in a tab. Until recent update the red Unread Posts number would change on its own.
Now I have to refresh the page to see if there are new posts.

I’ve noticed the same thing too, and also for the alert notification list. However, I’ve noticed that whether or not they auto-refresh is sporadic. If I have multiple tabs open, the number of unread alerts may be different on every single tab’s summary label (they used to be identical/update simultaneously).
