Maybe @tracfancier be able to shed more light on this.
AFAIK the phone is “hard locked” and therefore very difficult to unlock yourself.
The only way is to ask Tracfone for an unlock code.

Could a person theoretically use up the minutes from this promotion and then switch the phone back to Straight Talk? (Since Straight Talk is administered by Tracfone.)
