@daytrader I wound up having to return the item that I was just $2 short on earning next $15 KC on anyway. It was a Ninja coffee maker that was missing a part.

Thanks for the tip on using expiring KC. I have done something similar, only I did pick up the order and later returned it and got replacement KC. Just not picking up the order would be even easier.

Of course KC is a big game to keep you coming back to Kohl’s ☺️😜☺️ to spend it or to buy a little more to get it, but if you are good at playing the game you can get good deals. Sometimes I wonder why I mess with it though. It takes a lot of time, although it is usually fun and satisfying when you make everything work out to get a great price with free shipping!

Beware: Kohl’s seems to have tightened up on the spending levels to get Kohl’s Cash. I just placed an order for in-store pickup while the $15KC/$50spend is on. Total was $148.74 after $5 coupon for store pickup and 15% off. I thought, “Ok, no sweat. Within $2 of $150 spend, so I should get $45KC.”

Order went through and on the confirmation screen it said “Congratulations on earning $30 KC.” Grrrr! I was $1.26 short of getting another $15 KC. I could have left the $5 coupon off and would have still been $10 ahead!

Up until very recently, if you were within $2 of spending enough for the next increment of KC, you automatically got it. In fact the policy was spelled out in Kohl’s FAQs on their website until a few weeks ago I was pretty sure. I was wondering if that was still the policy, so I checked then to see if it had changed. I didn’t bother to check this time or to pay attention to the amount of KC it showed I was getting until I had already placed the order.

Thinking of ordering another while $15 KC is still on (this time making sure to spend $150), and having it shipped for free, then returning the store pickup one. I’ll show them!

Anyone else have this issue? I rechecked the FAQs on Kohl’s website and can no longer find the mention of the $2 grace on spend to get the next level of KC.
