2 pack on sale at hsn. 20% Cashback from TCB, new customer coupon of $20 or referral coupon for $50/$100 for a decent deal. Not that great of phone, but can activate and switch back to your old phone.
Recent changes to the Tracfone website have made some tasks much easier - this is not one of them. I finally gave up and just started using the new phone.
it’s been nearly a year since I had to add service to one of my family’s phones.
My old method was to add a device, swap the service to the device, then swap it back (assuming the family member was happy with their existing phone.)
I’ve been doing it that way for years.
I went to add service to my kid’s phone with this method, and the website is completely different. A complete overhaul.
Okay, fine. I attempt to add the device.
It wants to send me a code - I have a choice, to my email, or to his phone. I choose “email” and…no code.
I’d go with his phone except he’s unavailable ATM and I won’t be able to hear back in a timely manner.
I guess my question is, after all of that, with all of these changes, is this still a possible method to add service ?

I tried to get 3 of the Samsung A10E on one transaction. Kept coming up with an error, each time.
Finally figured that I had to split into three separate transactions. No idea why. Pain in the butt.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand now the $4 coupon is gone.

Any good deals on a one year card with minutes? My normal channel seems to have “evaporated”.
Best you are going to get right now is a bundle deal with a new phone on ebay. Tracfone has a Lg Rebel and service for $50. Activate then switch. QVC had a waitlisted one and the ones on HSN are really expensive at this particular time.
Ah, nuts; I let my service slide and I’ve got two days before it expires. Mea culpa. Guess I’ll just have to bite the bullet and get a card.
You can always get a month card and then get a bundle. That’s what I had to do when I pushed the limit waiting for a deal.
yeah, I know…doesn’t exactly save any cash though, does it…

Now that Google Music is gone…how do you purchase music on YouTube Music?
I think that this is a free trial. The comments at the bottom seem to support that.
HSN is currently offering free shipping on Tracfone products.
MasterPass is gone, is that accurate? Are there any codes or tricks to sweeten these deals further?

ThanksI don’t think there are any just “time” cards.
With tax season upon us, Tracfone has upped the prices on just about everything they have.
For a while they had a great deal on a 1 year card for $39 and change, it’s now $49 and change, which is probably your best option.
It appears that they discontinued even that in January

Be aware this is for one stand not a pair. Glad I read the reviews. Was ready to grab this as it would be a smoking hot deal for a pair, but can get a pair of 3 ton stands at Walmart for $25 or $18 @ Harbor Freight
Thanks for that! I was about to pull the trigger until I read your comment.
I got this one before; yes, they send you a SIM, but they also send you the card. I tossed the SIM and used the card on my phone. Added an easy year for next to nothing.

I accidentally purchased the wrong phone for my area.
I bought it for the year of service that’s bundled with it, and then realized that it’s a TMobile phone, not Verizon like my current phone.
Normally I would have just transferred my service to the new phone, and then back to my regular phone. But I’m afraid that what’ll happen is that they’ll swap my phone number out, since the number will have to switch carriers. This happened a few years back, which is why I have the number that I have now, and I’d had the old number for a few years.
Any advice to stop that from happening, or am I just stuck with this phone?
@my4mainecoons said in Google Home Mini $5 after iBotta and Best Buy $20 rebate:
@fivetalents I think they pulled the offer. The offer was for the Mini and I got the $20.
I think maybe there were two offers? The offer that I saw was for the regular Home, but since everyone was saying that they got it, I shrugged and went with it.
Others are saying that the offer that they got was for the Mini.
I wish everyone who has not yet received it luck on getting it!
I was right about the offer. It was for a Google Home, not the mini. They must have pulled the offer for the mini.
They did credit me anyway. Here’s a cut and paste from their reply.
“Thank you for writing in. I apologize for the delay in response. We are currently experiencing a higher than normal amount of user requests. I reviewed your Best Buy receipt and the reason you did not initially receive credit for this offer was the Google Home offer required the purchase of the regular sized Google Home, the product purchased on this receipt was the Google Home Mini which did not qualify. Be sure to scroll down on each offer page and review the details/requirements.”
@my4mainecoons said in Google Home Mini $5 after iBotta and Best Buy $20 rebate:
@arthurpeale Did your receipt have iBotta on it?
I got a digital receipt, and hadn’t checked it until you mentioned it.
Indeed it does!
@briarycliffs said in Google Home Mini $5 after iBotta and Best Buy $20 rebate:
Ibotta has a history of ending offers early. If it was still listed in your offers at the time of purchase, you should get the money, however, they pulled this offer as soon as word hit the boards about it being a great price. Offers can (and very often are) pulled at any time. I have to scan my receipts right after I check out now, had too many pulled by the time I get home or even just out to the car. That is the biggest downfall to Ibotta. Saving an offer doesn’t mean anything, unlike other savings apps that just limit the number of people that save an offer.
What I didn’t like about this particular offer was how you have to redeem it. You don’t redeem it through the app, you scan a QR code at the store, and then that gets uploaded to Ibotta at some point.
I’m just wondering why the $20 would show as pending, and then just gone.
My nearest BB is 60 miles away, so logistically it’s a hike. I can’t realistically even bundle other things into the trip to return it. I’d spend almost as much in gas.

I say a pending next day but it’s now gone and no credit a few more days later.
Me, too. It was pending, and now it’s gone. I did get the 1% back, but that’s it.
I sent an inquiry though the app. Waiting on their reply.
Perhaps it’s because this was supposed to be for the Google Home, not the Mini?

I can confirm! I bit the bullet, and you definitely get a 1 year, 1200/1200/ 3G card, plus a BYOP SIM, for $50. I just added it to my kid’s phone. That’s half off!
@arthurpeale said in Current Tracfone Deals / Discussion thread:
If it’s a separate SIM card that’ll work. Can anyone else confirm?
Even with no separate confirmation, I think I’m going to bite the bullet. I know enough tricks to transfer service around so that hopefully this will work.
@briarycliffs said in Current Tracfone Deals / Discussion thread:
Well my friend got her $50 package from ebay. Came with a SIM card (verizon) and a separate PIN card. She didn’t have any trouble adding it to her current account. Unfortunately, she lost her service (phone and data) for some reason. She got it resolved rather quickly. I believe she put the new SIM card in her phone and transferred service to it. She is not that tech savvy, so who knows what happened.
If it’s a separate SIM card that’ll work. Can anyone else confirm?
@briarycliffs said in Current Tracfone Deals / Discussion thread:
I’m not sure I would recommend any Samsung phone for Tracfone. It seems from the reviews, you either get one that works or one that will never work.
Interesting. Both my boys have the J7, and they like theirs. I’m basically looking for cheap service, and $80 for a year is a steal. $50 is better (if that would work) still waiting to hear about that.

edit: Hold that thought…this appears to deliver a SIM card for which the minutes are tied.
other boards are saying that it comes with a separate card that you can just add to your account. I have a friend who ordered and is waiting for it to arrive, so will know more then.
If this doesn’t end up working out, I’m eyeballing the J3 that was posted three days ago. My kid’s phone runs out of service on the 3rd.
I’m assuming these bags must be specially marked? I have no Kroger near me, but many bags of Doritos with Spiderman logo.
That’s a great deal! Thanks!

Yes, the exact same link in the OP… it was a 2 or 3 day sale for tax day/April 15th that’s over now. They do change the offer terms on this product page frequently.
Gd bless it…I’ll just have to keep a closer eye on the site. Worth it for the year of service alone, and two of them for two years of service? Yup.

Do you have a screenshot of the original offering, or even does the title of the offering reflect the BOGO in your purchase history?
This is being offered directly from Tracfone. I hope you receive postive outcome.
If you click on “Orders” on the top right of any screen, you’ll see your purchase history (also accessible from “My eBay”). Click on the name of any (recently) ordered product. This takes you to the product’s current listing page. If the listing is still open and unchanged or has ended with no changes since you ordered, this is the product listing exactly as it appeared when you placed your order. If the listing was changed in some way before closing or is still open but modified in some way, you’ll see white banner at the top that says something like “The listing below has been updated by the seller, but you can see the item you purchased.” Click "item you purchased,” to access the exact product listing/contract you purchased under. The moment I think I have a problem with an order, I always pull up this purchase agreement page and screenshot or print it.
Very informative!

Thanks for the insights @ArthurPeale… it looks like they changed the listing/title after I observed ‘BOGO’ in the product title on the 13th. Do you think I should cross post this in the Tracfone master thread?
I personally would have posted there instead of making new thread, but whatever works for you.
I get almost zero response or even acknowledgement for anything I’ve ever posted in that thread, despite specifically and repeatedly requesting feedback about what they consider hot deals/prices, and it felt like the information was just getting buried. Therefore, I determined that it’s better to post what I believe to be deals hot enough to warrant a separate thread as a new thread so that everyone, including those that don’t follow the thread and potential new Tracfone users, can much more easily see and benefit from. However, I’m happy to also cross-post a link to the separate deal in the master thread as a courtesy if I thought they’d be any real interest in me doing so.
Curious. I wonder if people are doing what I do most of the time, checking out the highlights, and not posting their thoughts about the matter. Most of the time it seems to be a dead thread.
