As Tuskers poiints out, a more thorough review of the two posts shows that it is, in fact, a repost.

Hard to put a value on a four-day free trial. Another user suggests that it is less than $10, so this probably belongs in Free Stuff.
Moderator note: Please place posts of this type, involving “product testing”, selective participation, review requirements and the like, in GPT (Get Paid To), not Hot Deals or Free Stuff. Thanks!
This link goes to what appears to be the “Texas Health Huguley Hospital” for a “Creation Health Free Book”, author undisclosed, to be delivered by U.S. Mail.
Tuskers’ link goes to christianaudio.com for a free “audio book of the month”, “Reading the Bible Supernaturally”, by John Piper.
If this is a repost, I can find no evidence of it.

Moved & retitled.
In for one. Thanks, OP!
@myisland said in McDonald's - $1 Sandwich w/ App - Excludes Signature Crafted and Double Quarter Pounder w/Cheese - Valid 1x/day through 9/30/18:
No deal is worth it when it requires installing a spy app.
I absolutely agree, and I am regularly astounded at how much privacy folks are willing to give up for such small rewards.
That said, this is potentially a substantial savings over the lifetime of the deal.
FWIW, I don’t plan on giving Mickey D very much useful spy info at all. I installed it on a spare phone that has data service (but not even an active number), disabled all permissions through AppOps, I’ll only enable internet access through my firewall as needed, and location services when picking up food, and I signed up using a temporary email account, so, good luck browsing my social media accounts, my contact lists, and my photos, fellas.
Tried this out today…Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich and a soda for two bucks. w00t!
The only issue I ran into is that the app is very permission-greedy, and I don’t want McDonalds (or anyone else, for that matter) knowing precisely where I am every minute of every day.
I disabled Location Services for the app and picked the restaurant location manually, and it seemed to work, gave me an order #, etc. But since it never “saw” me arrive, it never released my order to the restaurant, and they couldn’t pull it up.
I finally enabled Location and the app said “Oh, you’re here!” and released my order. Long story short, you can disable other permissions…to keep Ronald’s red nose out of your address book, for example…but unless you enable Location Services, “no soup for you!”
