Has been happening for a while. Figured it was a temporary thing so didn’t think much of it, but it has never gone away. Tried unsubscribing and resubscribing, but that also didn’t work.

The promo code may be already applied and then you would get an error message. Checking out in a desktop browser will show whether the coupon is actually applied, if you aren’t doing that now.
Oddly, I just tried again (didn’t do anything differently) and it worked.
Is this already dead? Just tried to order and got the “The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase” error. Yes, I’m a Prime member.
Funny… we paid our annual elementary school fees today and got notification of the $5 back for it.

There was a Groupon $4 for 10 codes deal back in 2012. Could it have been that?
Just realized that was in Aug. not Dec.
I will have to check my Groupon email as it is different from my Redbox email.
That was a great thought, but nothing in my Groupon or Livingsocial accounts. BUT… it prompted me to do some digging. Turns out there must have been a Redbox promo during Christmas. Must have been a “Gift <some> get <some>” promo. I found proof that I used the codes, but maybe the gifted portion never got used. In any event, that probably solves this one.
I got an email this morning from Redbox (at my email that IS NOT my registered Redbox account). The subject line was “Redeem your unused promo codes now!” It contained a list of 10 DVD ($1.75) promo codes. There was fine print at the bottom that said “Your promo codes were received/purchased on 12/30/2012” I’ve already used a couple of them, so I know they’re working.
I have no idea what this is or why I received it. Not complaining, but does anybody have any idea why I would’ve received this?
