As a person who has windshield wipers from the 1990s that are still good, I ask, why do Mercedes-Benz wipers wear out?

It may not help because:

today’s gasolines, especially those rated Top Tier, clean injectors, intake valves, and combustion chambers better than gasoline from the mid-1990s did.

A factory service bulletin I saw for my car said new fuel injectors are much more resistant to clogging than old injectors were. My car is a 1993.
