I got a similar offer from staples, It said I was being upgraded and I should pick 5 items to save more $ on, however when I went to pick items, it asked me to pay something like $50 to join, and of course I didn’t. I’m still a Premier member, al least until they change their mind again

This is a very reasonable price for a smart phone that’s ok to add on Tello.
I did the AARP one last year and combined it with a Walgreens deal, then used Balance Rewards to pay for most of the purchase

The previous year, Menards had a mail in rebate for the same items, so I doubled up there as well. Send rebate receipt to Menards, Send original receipt to AARP
Look around for a double up.
