@christmas could be a tough sell if it’s a new account with no feedback. i’ve used escrow.com before, pretty straightforward and wasn’t too expensive. perhaps sell it wholesale to another ebay seller. or try calling pawn stars.
now i’m curious, what do you have? i’m low on gold coins.
@ctcarl google hangouts actually worked when i was in europe too. made free calls back to america (over wifi). pretty nice backup plan, best price in town. and i have it set to ring both my mobile and ipad for incoming calls.
@mikk1 i looked at a few and the emails don’t show, i think it only shows when it’s your own profile
@honkinggoose yeah it’s plenty. i was mainly thinking that the file size limit (it didn’t auto resize when i used it) creates work for users, and for a brand new site, you wanna make things easy. barely fit that steak in after the cropping!
@frugalfreak i have been online since ~93 (dial up bbs) and have never actually sat through counting down a site closing. especially the elite dial-ups, one day the modem just stops answering.
prepaid visa debit? available at any supermarket, where the gift cards are located. you can refill them too.
@sarahb i had an amex business card way back, and there was an option to set the limit (as low as $1 lol) on additional cards (i issued one for an employee). maybe your current bank has something similar.
@christmas you remind me of the guy i bought my rolex from (had a great holiday season selling the bags/hats/shoes and spoiled myself). found a watch guy on ebay, decided to deal direct on escrow.com. he sold me a great watch, i still wear it. pre-owned (his name was on the title) but unworn (all tags/stickers). msrp today is 12k, i got it for less than half that.
not sure how he got his stuff, i never asked. i’m guessing he went to switzerland and picked them up himself.
can you guys add a setting to hide the email address from the profile?
perhaps the mods will consider bumping up the limit. a photo from my 3 year old ipad air2 (8mp camera) weighs in at 2.3mb.
i don’t know how to code this, another option would be automatic resizing.
i’m telling you guys… the deals are in used cars. like hd here, you just have to do some homework. 100k miles? barely broken in by today’s standards. this is not your dad’s oldsmobile.
@ctcarl also try giant bottles of palmolive dish soap
@frugalfreak the entire site’s slowed to a crawl, remember when friendster blew up?
@turtlebug lol yeah that’s kinda low. new bank account to make 200 clams, i’ll pass.
ve tzaddik yesod olam
@turtlebug more importantly, how reputable are these banks and how is the customer service. i’ve been with some shoddy banks and let me tell you, it’s no joke when your money is held hostage
@gheldean doubt it, worst case a lawyer will contact the forum and ask to take the thread down
@mikk1 that mod badge looks heavy. i’d rather not
@kdn102 so the deals are personalized? like ads on a pc vs apple
@ma-barker it’s just a teeny hustle to help him out of a jam. i didn’t say do it for a living
@my4mainecoons how about just buying something and selling the physical goods. pick a popular item, if it doesn’t sell return it.
@my4mainecoons well gc, at best you break even. shop at the store for a clearance item, or haggle the manager, maybe you’ll make something. and you get a month to try. or buy something and return it to rite aid for credit
