WHAT TO WEAR
- Sunscreen
- Hat/Baseball Cap
- Umbrella / Rain Poncho - In case it rains, You can get rain poncho’s at local dollar stores for a $1.00 that fit in your pocket and then open when you need it, OR You can buy one at Cedar Point for $20 each.
- Glasses / Sun Glasses Strap (For riding Rollercoasters) available at CP Gift Shops
- Layers of clothing, depending on the weather. Ohio is known for cold rainy days, So pack warm clothes and store in your car, It maybe 80 degrees out but at night expect cold temperatures. Tie a light jacket around your waist, or store your stuff in a locker for the day which are located thru-out the park.
- If you’re planning on going on any of the water rides, either in Cedar Point or in Soak City (the waterpark right next door), then pack an extra set of clothes and a towel. Cedar Point offers poor-quality made towels for $20+ each. Due to the potential for water damage, Shoot the Rapids, Thunder Canyon and Snake River Falls riders should leave their phones, cameras, electrical devices and other valuable items with a non-rider or in a locker which are located thru-out the park.
- Comfortable shoes are a must. You should be able to walk long distances in them – and if you’re going on water rides, they should dry easily.

GUESTS OF LARGER SIZE
All passenger restraint systems, including lap bars, shoulder harnesses and seatbelts, must be positioned and fastened properly to allow guests to ride. Due to rider restraint system requirements, guests of larger size may not be accommodated on some of our rides. This may apply, but not be limited to, guests who exceed 6’2" or those who exceed 225 pounds, have a 40" waistline or 52" chest or females who exceed 200 pounds or wear a size 18 or larger. Our larger guests may experience difficulty on Blue Streak, Corkscrew, GateKeeper, Lake Erie Eagles, Mantis, Maverick, maXair, Mean Streak, Millennium Force, Mine Ride, Pipe Scream, Power Tower, Raptor, Skyhawk, SlingShot, Top Thrill Dragster, Wave Swinger, Shoot the Rapids and Wicked Twister. Maximum recommended weight limits are posted at Camp Snoopy rides, Lake Erie Eagles, Monster, Scrambler, Sky Ride, SlingShot, Super Himalaya, Troika, Wave Swinger, WindSeeker, Planet Snoopy rides, RipCord and most Soak City attractions. You may enter the ride via the exit to ensure the restraints function properly prior to waiting in line. Test seats are located at the queue entrance of GateKeeper, Mantis, Maverick, maXair, Millennium Force, Raptor, Skyhawk, Top Thrill Dragster and Wicked Twister. The manufacturer requires a maximum rider height of 6’6" for the following rides: GateKeeper, Maverick, Millennium Force, Shoot the Rapids, Top Thrill Dragster and Wicked Twister
FOOD
■ Foods at Cedar Point - Special Dietary Needs / Allergies
■ Be prepared to pay big bucks. What I recommend is bringing a cooler with your last name written on top, since other people will be doing the same and sticking it in the picnic pavilion area (Located on outside of the main entrance gate on the far left side of GateKeeper Track) Before leaving the park, Make sure you get your hand-stamped at gate to get back in and going back halfway through the day to have your sandwiches there. Because the park itself is pretty expensive to go to (tickets, parking, meals and etc), you really aren’t going to have a lot of theft so don’t worry too much about your cooler. A great place to get a deal is the pizza place located right outside Cedar Downs. Get a large pizza and two drinks (it is called the family meal combo) for the best value for around $25.00. Cedar Point does offer refill programs for both all-day popcorn & all-you-can-drink coca-cola fountain beverages see “Refills” below.

LOOSE ARTICLES - When planning your day at Cedar Point, it’s best to travel light. Bring only items that can be safely secured in cargo pockets (fastened with velcro, a button or zipper) or a waist pack fastened with a zipper. Most rides cannot accommodate loose articles including cell phones, pagers, hats, cameras, stuffed animals, purses, backpacks, basketballs, umbrellas, beverage containers, personal entertainment devices, etc. Items must be safely secured in cargo pockets, a waist pack, in a bin on the ride platform, left in a locker, or with a non-rider. Ride Operators cannot be responsible for these items in case of lost or stolen. GateKeeper, Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster: Loose items that are not able to be stored in waist packs or cargo pockets are not permitted in line. ■ WEATHER CONDITIONS THAT EFFECTS CEDAR POINT RIDES
Rides will close due to weather conditions, particularly rain, high winds and/or lightning. A specific answer as to which rides close or remain open is not possible because varying degrees of inclement weather cause different effects on different rides. CROWDS
Best time to go to Cedar Point are: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays in May, June, July And Sunday during Halloweekends Sept-October. So don’t think you will get there when the park opens and be able to ride something with no wait. The ride queues will be full when you get there. But the best bet is still get there early. Enter thru the MARINA GATE, Turn Left, There is the Cedar Point & Lake Erie train that will take you there quicker than walking and get in the Maverick line first if you like the thrill rides. Everyone stops at the rides at the front of the park, so go to the back and work your way back to the front to help you out with long lines. If you are going to the Halloween weekends in the fall, your best day to go is on a Sunday instead of a Saturday if you want to cut your wait times in half. (Or find a cold miserable day–one time we got really lucky with this and we had a 10 minute wait for Dragster–it was heaven) - Special thanks to Slumber Party Dana for this tip.
1 Hour Ride Early Entry - Get into Cedar Point thru ANY of the gates(Main Entrance, Marina Entrance, Resort Entrance, Beach Entrance) an hour early and ride your favorite rides. Platinum & Cedar Point Season passholders show your cards, Cedar Point Resort Guests you MUST get an “Early Admission Pass” from the hotel desk prior to enter. Fast Lane not valid during 1 hour Ride Early Entry.
