Kind of threw up a bit when my home page of fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/ redirected to ebates. So went directly to fatwallet.com to see the goodbye message. Yeah, I’m a bit sad today too.
I wish you guys luck because while SD has had a lot of the good deals posted recently it never felt quite as comfortable as FW. Hard to explain but I think the folks who stuck around understand.

RE: AmEx Offer: Spend $99+ On Amazon Prime Membership & Receive 5,000 Membership Rewards
One site values Membership Rewards points at 1.9 cents per point. I’m not really sure why but here’s their valuation link: https://thepointsguy.com/2017/10/october-2017-monthly-valuations/
Some of it I guess is because MR points can be transferred to other programs that have higher value. But if you do value it at 1.9 cents per point this becomes almost a ‘free’ prime year deal (I did receive it on one card, so trying to determine my own value for the points given) -
RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accounts
I went with Citizens Access myself. Realize its not the highest rate but interested in the absolutely no fees ‘gimmick’. I hate having to worry about ACH fee or inactivity fee or other random fees hitting. And I know this is an offshoot of the huge Citizens Bank so that gives me just a little bit more confidence in them. So far was a very quick few minutes to setup an account, and awaiting trial deposits to go through (from a Bank of Internet account where I’ve been very unhappy with their service and rates).
Minimum is $5k here. Haven’t so far seen any hard pulls but at least for the free sites I use these seem to lag a few days so we’ll see. My Chex is very clean (haven’t opened a bank account in years).
