On the Cap 1 account, if you can transfer in $50k you can get $500 in bonuses, if you haven’t had a Cap 1 Savings account since Jan 2016. Note the bonus is based on cumulative deposits and you don’t need to leave the money there after you hit the $50k mark. https://capitalone.com/savings500/ (OFFER500 is the code)

RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accounts
I went with Citizens Access myself. Realize its not the highest rate but interested in the absolutely no fees ‘gimmick’. I hate having to worry about ACH fee or inactivity fee or other random fees hitting. And I know this is an offshoot of the huge Citizens Bank so that gives me just a little bit more confidence in them. So far was a very quick few minutes to setup an account, and awaiting trial deposits to go through (from a Bank of Internet account where I’ve been very unhappy with their service and rates).
Minimum is $5k here. Haven’t so far seen any hard pulls but at least for the free sites I use these seem to lag a few days so we’ll see. My Chex is very clean (haven’t opened a bank account in years).

RE: Best Nationally Available High APY Liquid Accounts
I have had the same problem as someone else; I didn’t notice my current bank had kept me at a pretty low interest rate even as the market climbed. When I emailed them they bumped me up to something closer (but still not close enough so I’m still leaving).
Are there any well known banks that automatically keep interest rates UP for their existing clients so I don’t have to play any games to get the best rate? I see Popular Direct is the best right now at 2% but don’t mind going with one of the other near rate players if I can ‘set it and forget it’.

RE: Amex Offer: Sam's Club membership - purchase online only - $25 back on $45
On another forum, people who don’t have the charge post as SAMSCLUB.COM NEW MEMBERSHIP (note the key words there) are not getting the credit automatically, because it is posting as a regular SAMSCLUB.COM charge (not new membership) even though its for $45.
Some people have escalated and then still gotten denials back, saying Sams Club is coding it incorrectly (which is technically correct). I think a few have gotten escalations and the credit posted, but its still hit and miss. Does the digital assist team know about the issue and fix it without further back and forth?
I ran into the issue myself and opened an escalation via online chat. Said it takes 3-5 days and I have to chat again to find the status of the escalation.

RE: 20-30-40% Mystery Codes, Valid with any Tender @Kohl's Nov 29
I got both 20% off from Kohls and another 20% off from another deals forum that is offering their own version of mystery codes. Two lumps of coal since everyone gets 20% off with the code BUYNOW20

RE: Google Home &Home Mini Pre-Order + $25 Off Walmart Order via Google Expres- price $49- $129 FS@Walmart
Moderator locked my new post, but since its not in this thread the price today is $29 for Google Home Mini and $79 for the full Google Home. If you get referred into Google Express you can get $10 off so get the Google Home Mini for $19+tax (free ship) and still get $25 in Walmart credit (Referer gets $10 too)

Google Home Mini $29+FS, $25 Walmart Credit included, additional discounts possible
The Google Home Mini which is available through link text is priced down to $29 today with free shipping and includes $25 at Walmart credit (Also through Google Express). Limit two credits per Google Account.
If you are a first time Google Express customer, you can get 20% off via codes like ORDERNOW20 or others. If you get referred by another Google Express customer you can get $10 off, and the person referring you gets $10 off. So I referred a friend who got the Google Home Mini for $21 including tax, and they will get $25 credit towards Walmart, and yes I get $10 too on my account.
Since most forums frown on referral code I won’t share mine, but even without referral code it’s a good deal. Though it seems like the item may be going in and out of stock.

RE: Staples.com $25 off $100 using Visa Checkout at payment screen
I stacked this with a cash back site and 10% cash back through Visa Offers (available on Marriott Visa card). I also had an Amex Offer for extra MR points; that may be available to more folks that have an AMEX card (you can use AMEX cards through Visa checkout)

RE: Free Hertz Gold Plus Rewards President Circle Status
This offer is almost certain to be rescinded since it’s all over the travel forums. I earned PC one time in the past and the perks were good, but won’t be that good with thousands of first time travellers now vying for the upgraded cars.
That said I did add the cdp to my profile… if it works no harm no foul!

RE: AmEx Offer: Spend $99+ On Amazon Prime Membership & Receive 5,000 Membership Rewards
One site values Membership Rewards points at 1.9 cents per point. I’m not really sure why but here’s their valuation link: https://thepointsguy.com/2017/10/october-2017-monthly-valuations/
Some of it I guess is because MR points can be transferred to other programs that have higher value. But if you do value it at 1.9 cents per point this becomes almost a ‘free’ prime year deal (I did receive it on one card, so trying to determine my own value for the points given) -

RE: FatWallet closing: Final Day Monday 10/9
Kind of threw up a bit when my home page of fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/ redirected to ebates. So went directly to fatwallet.com to see the goodbye message. Yeah, I’m a bit sad today too.
I wish you guys luck because while SD has had a lot of the good deals posted recently it never felt quite as comfortable as FW. Hard to explain but I think the folks who stuck around understand.
