Ok. I checked my escrow statement online. They deducted property tax payment from my balance last week. If it is not done by now, they might not be able to make it by end of year.
You can also do a payment, inform and get a refund from escrow account. I typically pay my insurance premiums and get a refund from my escrow account. I also made payment to my December month mortgage which is due by 1st Jan.
My idea is to pay 2018 and 2019 property tax payments in 2019 and use standard deduction for year 2018 taxes. Not sure how much it will help. Every bit helps.

Can you pay 2018 property taxes by end of 2017? Looks like I might not be able to take advantage of this. According to new IRS guidelines, county suppose to complete tax assessments. My county is going to do assessments in April/May time frame.My other option is to club 2 years of property tax payments into one year and switch to standard deduction other year.

My property taxes are paid for 2017 by escrow account holder during last week. They typically pay up by end of year. You can check it in your escrow account.

I’m glad you’re flush enough to not need a tax break. I’ll say it, I need a tax break. I’m tapped out. And instead I get a $250 tax increase. I’ll gladly take $18 over a $250 increase.

Agree with you. I am not going to think about what rich people are going to save. I am happy as long as I save something. My savings are going to be limited as we are doing itemize. But I think, we can club our property taxes and save some money every alternate year. Those bracket changes should help us to save something. Not sure if we are going to save anything from obama care tax. I remember, there was a email from HR about extra tax when obama care became law. May be it will go away from next year.

Thanks for information. I have AAA and discover accounts. I guess, interest rate is going to be same for both type of accounts. Thinking of closing AAA account and keeping discover account.

We got bonus for AA and discover saving accounts. Are we good to close these accounts? Can we close and reapply again?

Thanks Barker. We have received our bonus for both the accounts (regular and AAA). We can open another regular savings account without closing any of existing accounts and still get another bonus?

I went to the branch. But they are going to charge fee for CC funding. Bank person told me, they are going to extend this promotion. I applied online using CC funding. I do not see any update so far.

Can we open more than one account and get multiple bonus. So far we got bonus for regular account and waiting for AAA account bonus to post.
