If frogs had wings I’d assume I was near Three Mile Island, Chernobyl or maybe whats left of that mountain in North Korea. Though Firefox Quantum would be a good code name for a nuclear disaster.

Seriously though I’m not so much worried about the speeds they are claiming I want the bloat to go away.

I might be an anomaly, but since it updated a few hours ago, it has do nothing but freeze and crash. Almost half of the time I try to open up a new tab, it freezes and I have to close and try again. When it does that, it won’t open the tabs back on restart because it doesn’t think it crashed. I have ublock origin as the only working add on, but haven’t tried to disable that to see if that is the issue.

That’s another thing I was wondering about. I wonder how many add ons are going to be incompatible and for how long. I assume some may just disappear.

Just got notice that the new FF Quantum is available and was wondering if anyone has tried it yet and their thoughts on it.

I usually wait to update FF so they can get the kinks out but if it lives up to the hype I may just jump on it earlier than usual.

My Bad…with the font they used in email I saw 50% not 5. The percent sign was so big I read the top one as a 0. I thought it sounded like t% g%d a deal.

Thanks fivetalents but I was looking for more of an “in your face” reminder. I would still have to go to my bookmarks to see what I had saved. If there was a “your bookmarks” icon on every page or up where notifications, chats and search is that would be a help.

I liked the old FW way as when I went to the first page I could just scroll over the stickys on my way down to new postings.

I guess when you return the next day the period you have to wait must be calculated on a 24 hour basis from the last time you rated. I say that because I rated yesterday but it won’t let me rate today (yet).

It’s once per day. I usually go on about 10 pm my time which is midnight eastern time. That’s when the new day starts. I have voted twice in the same day when I forget the night before I vote in the morning or afternoon and again at 10. I have even gone in at 9pm and then sign out and come back after 10.

Sometimes they don’t start new promos until Noon of that day so I do it then and come back at 10 for the next day.

Like @ruthie, I received a $25 iTunes GC code yesterday for the neon sign voting (when you click the redemption link, it takes you to iTunes). When the Vinyl Vibes deal was posted here, I must have checked about 10 times over 2 weeks but never got the offer and gave up. After redeeming the neon sign GC, I tried Vinyl Vibes again and suddenly the $25 iTunes offer was there so I claimed that one too (although I’m still waiting for that code).

Yea I just checked at SD and a lot of people are getting iTunes instead of Visa. If you go look bring crackers and cheese to go with all the whine over there.
