MisterC - I think you posted on Staples of this tablet for the same price, and i just saw on Officedepot web site for $179.99 also. Looks like Target has the best deal because of the $20 gc. However i do have OD rewards to burn, so decisions, decisions…

Yes, @niniss I would do this, CALL office depot’s order # and see if they will price match the $20 Target GC offer by lowering the price by $20 or giving you back $20 in rewards. worst they can do is say No.

Thank you Mister C. I just tried and they said they can’t match like that.
UPDATE: Was refused by phone, but i just tried online chat and the rep just asked for the Target link, and he placed the order for me before asking for my payment. He says someone will call me later for the payment. This is a brand new experience for me. I hope they will be able to take my rewards when they call me.

@fivetalents Well, I waited and waited but they never called me. I thought they must be swamped so i waited until the following Monday or Tuesday and they told me the order was canceled because of non payment! After I explained the rep offered to place a new order for me for the same $159.99. Same thing she placed the order then i have to call in for the payment, which i did as soon as i got the order number. And yes, i used my rewards certificate without any issue. Oh, I also received a little present during the second time placing the order. That time OD had a promotion going on - spending $125 and get a free Rachael Ray baking pan. But the pan was out of stock. When i mentioned that to the rep, she found a similar priced Rachael Ray insulate tote and added to the order for free. I received the tote yesterday (not bad looking although i have no use for it) but have not received the tablet yet.

so quiet here, no body else interested in this tablet? I kinda want an ipad but OD doesn’t carry apple and I really wanted to use up the rewards (expire end of the year). I prefer something smaller but the 8" screen resolution isn’t as good as the 10" one.

Thanks for the update @niniss! That was quite an adventure, huh? Too bad your 1st order got messed up, but kudos to them for offering the price match in the first place and honoring that offer when your order was cancelled. Maybe you can exchange the tote for something else during the extended holiday return period, or gift it to someone.
