Great price for 2 burner top. BUT it says 1500W which from my experience is under-powered even for 1 burner.

For a regular 15 Amp outlet, you’re not allowed to draw more than 1500W.

I upgraded to a 1800W. Heats much faster. No issues.

Depending on the house wiring it could be a fire hazard.

Actually it’s 1800VA for a non continuous load and 1440VA if max current expected to last for 3 hours or more.
Noncontinuous load, 15A receptacle:
15A / 100% = 15A
15A x 120V / 100% = 1800VAContinuous load, 15A receptacle:
15A / 125% = 12A
15A x 120V / 125% = 1440VAEven commercial 1800W cooktop burners are rated for 15A circuits.

Thanks. I was just throwing something out I casually overheard, but I bet even with a non-continuous load, with old wiring, 1800W could be dangerous.
