Oops. I did a PhW search for “Google Express” and posted when nothing similar came up on first three pages… Also, the “New Topic” tool did not flag it.
Is there another / better way to check whether a deal has already been posted?

My favorite, fail-proof method for avoiding reposts for deals with codes is the search for the code only. Works every time. You avoid having to wade through tons of posts for every deal ever posted about a merchant or product, and only have to look at a few, if any threads.

FWIW, I also don’t assume which forum a deal is posted in. I either just search the entire site or search the entire Deals forum since I could be posting in the wrong forum or the original post may have been posted in the wrong forum… or a post could apply to multiple forums. Also, If there is no code. I try to restrict the number of search results by a) only using the most infrequently used words (e.g., if searching for a deal at Home Depot, just search for “Depot”), b) using quotes for a word string (e.g., “Home Depot”), or c) search a manufacturer or retailer product ID# that is part of the offer link. I’ll also restrict the search to the title only or post only (not titles & posts) if I’m sure where the search term will appear.
