@mistercheap It looks like it might work on cat litter as well. I put 2 litter @$14.99 in a cart and $25 is applying. The account has a $10/$10 and the other $15 could be Personal Care or Paper, Cleaning & Home. So I added a $20 bag of food. No change in coupons, i.e. another $15 didn’t come off which I think means that the same coupon that works on food works on cat litter. We use wood pellets from Tractor Supply so I’d never buy litter at the supermarket but I was curious.
yeah, thinking on all items in the pet food aisle for that matter. Food, treats. litter, maybe toys?
-
@mistercheap I tested 8@$2 cans of Blue Wilderness in the cart and that worked! So it doesn’t have to be a single item.

HEADS UP!
If you are an active CARE PASS member, look for the 3 x 10c off a gallon digitals, clip all 3 and after your next purchase 30c off a gallon on gas will be linked to your account if you use the gas stations in their network. I don’t,so you’ll have to read up how to redeem it at the gas pump.

Fresh Pass, not Care Pass. You click the WEEKLY “10c coupons” and then shop to earn the rewards. One coupon is given per week until 9/xx, each one expiring after 4 weeks.
You can use the rewards for gas or redeem them for grocery coupons, just like any other rewards, which do not expire as long as you have the Fresh Pass membership.

LOL! I belong to Care Pass with CVS so called Fresh Pass care pass. AIN’T THAT A HOOT??
Can you expound on the redeem them for grocery coupons? do they work like a ‘reward’ ie, redeem for $1 off anything?
-
I saw the gas coupons but I have always redeemed any Rewards for $ off coupons and thought that the two offers are mutually exclusive. SI thought that if I clipped the gas coupons it would that mean my existing Rewards would be converted to a gas discount and I couldn’t use e.g. 12 Rewards for a $20/$20. Is this correct?
-
Earning 10c off per gallon is exactly the same as earning 1 reward. There is absolutely no difference. After earning those rewards, you’re free to use them for gas and/or grocery coupons.

ALL: Was just looking through ‘my list’ and noticed something odd. This item is listed under ‘paper, cleaning and home’, now, if it ‘works’ buy this and $2.51+ of another paper/home product and the $15 should hit from your paper category if you’d rather get the box of chips.

@mistercheap I suspect not. I’ve seen mis-categorizations before. This week chicken legs, thighs, etc. are listed under Meat for 99¢/lb vs. my personalized price of $1.29/lb for thighs is under Deli.

We’ve had a lot of dog food on clearance recently and today they got around to the cats. I got a 24 pack of Fancy Feast and some single servings for 50% off to reach $15. The tricky part was making sure that I used an account that didn’t have a $10/$10 on it.
I got my cracker sale! Nabisco crackers are $2.49 each wyb 3. There’s a $2/2 j4u expiring 8/4. I got 3 @$2.49 - $2/2 - 3@$1/1 Flavor Adventure. Paid $2.47 and getting back 75¢/2 from iBotta. Net 57¢/box.
Klondike bars are also on sale for $2.49 with a $2/2 j4u.
2@$2.49 - $2/2 j4u - 2@$1/1 Flavor Adventure makes them 49¢ each.

@mistercheap On Saturday I bought $15 worth of Blue Buffalo and a $10/$10 applied instead of the $15/$15. I’d purchased the exact same items in an earlier transaction and the $15/$15 applied. Did you have another Cart Q attach? Today I returned 6 cans ($12) for cash. It’s too bad that the $10/$10 got used but I ended up with $12 cash.

No, just left me w/ a lot of OOP. had a lot of stuff on the order so not sure what the issue was, but I removed them for the most part. I’ll try again, might be easier on one multipack rather than scanning 18 cans. that way if I have to void, it’s one item.
-
@mistercheap I wonder if it was the number of items. I got 1 24 pack and 7 singles tonight and the $15/$15 worked.

I used the $15/$15 household and $15/$15 “cat food” Q’s today. I started by using a $10/$10 basket coupon so it wouldn’t interfere. Then, because the card has a $20/$20 I did the $15 cleaning in one transaction and the $15 cat food in a separate transaction.
I don’t need any household supplies so I got 4 bottles of Method dish soap @$3.79 ea. Paid 16¢, earned $6 iBotta ($1.50 ea.) and will try to sell them for $2 ea. at next year’s yard sale.

Albertsons $5 eGC are a redemption option if you have 750 PGGE points. PGGE had gone back to just DD and Starbucks eGC so I didn’t redeem any points and expressed my dissatisfaction in a survey. I guess others did the same. Yesterday they sent an email saying that the better gc are available while supplies last. They also have Amazon, HD, etc. Limit 2 per month but was able to get 2 today vs used to be only able to get one a week.

There is a small vase collection in FLORAL that is 90% off in my area, 30c each. They are a great filler to get you up to the next $5 threshold to limit oop.
For instance I got two $16.99 items today, total $33.98, bought 4 30c vases, $35.18, $35 came off, .18 + tax owed.
I’ll post more info later or in the AM.
-
@mistercheap The problem with most produce is that it spoils so quickly. I’ve picked up cashews, dried apricots, cider and other things that will keep. Nice find on the vases.

You’d be surprised. Radishes in the frig stay at least a month, the peanuts in the shell do not go bad, also the salad dressing (picked up two bottles today) is dated to 10/10/23. The Bolthouse Farms is high end stuff, RR is $3.99-4.99 and it’s on sale for $2!
You can get a lot of decent stuff for $10, they have a huge selection on this $1-2 sale, it’s probably my favorite promo Acme runs every quarter.
-
@mistercheap Celery is almost $3 here but it’s also twice the size as that at a cheaper store. I’m eating lettuce & tomatoes from my garden. Had asparagus through June. Will be harvesting garlic and planting more lettuce & snow peas soon. Maybe I’ll plant radishes. Early on I got packets of seeds with the Floral coupon.

Wow! Great deal at Acme this week. Select Ruffles/Doritos/Fritos are 4 for $8.88 (mb 4) can mix match. the $1/1 chips FA Q hits against the order, so 4 nice size bags of chips for $4.88 ($1.22 ea), you also earn bonus points on FETCH for Frito Lay items.

@mistercheap resized it. Fancy candles.
I don’t like fruit scents so I left behind mango-guava in jars & gift boxes. Went with Autumn Leaves, Balsam Fir, Sugar Winterberry. Perfect for holiday gift giving.

In the summer clearance there were bags of stuffed marshmallows (?) and of Starburst pops 50% off so $1.99/bag of pops. I got 5 Starburst pops (the iBotta limit). Added in some previous week sale items with raincheck to use a $20/$20. 15 individually wrapped pops/bag so I have 75/100 needed for Halloween. Waiting to make sure that iBotta resets before buying more. 75¢ back per bag. Expiration date is April 2024 for the candy.

Not sure about other chains, but Acme has the 2lb bags of shredded cheese (Lucerne, store brand) for $5.99ea wyb 4. It’s an ongoing offer til the end of November, not in the ads, but it shows on the tags by the cheese in the dairy department.
If you clipped 4 of the $1.50 off the 2lb shreds during the game, there’s a great deal to be had!
Buy 4 mix/match, @$5.99, = $24.96, less $1.50 x 4 ($6) = 18.96 for 8lbs of cheese, $2.25lb or $1.125 per 8oz.
Dating on the bags at my store goes into January 2024. (various Mexican blends, cheddars, mozzarella, etc)
-
@mistercheap The 32 oz. is on sale for $7.99 this week at Shaw’s. I decided not to get it. We have the 8 oz. slices for $1.97 and I stacked the $1/1 FA q to make them 97¢, $1.94/lb. In 2 of my orders the FA q kicked out the sale price so check your receipts. Choices include regular, low fat and thin sliced provolones, Havarti, pepper jack, regular Swiss, aged Swiss, mozz., smoked something and the usual cheddars.
Packaged cheese keeps for a long time in the refrigerator. I store & use mine by date. Just used a bag exp. Oct. 2022. One time a package ballooned (gas) a month or so after the expiration date. I called Customer Service because it should’ve lasted much longer. CS agreed that it should’ve lasted longer and sent me high value Q’s. Granted it was Cabot who are much smaller than Lucerne.

The shreds are much more convenient for cooking/salads/etc. etc. So I’m going to bite on it if the dating is into 2024 before the 8/31 exp. of the FA coupons.
-
@mistercheap. Good deal but I’m still working on stockpiled shreds exp. 2022. IF I were to get a 32oz. bag I’d repackage them to keep them from molding. Or make a big lasagne and freeze it.
I’ve been waiting for a couple of things to go on sale and they will be on sale starting tomorrow. It’s going to be a busy final week. I’m going to have to rearrange my refrigerators and freezers to make room. Fortunately many of the things in my refrigerator don’t require refrigeration e.g. coffee, nuts, dried fruit, oil, ketchup, mustards, batteries, facial moisturizers, garden seeds, etc.
