CVS Care Pass Changes not announced in advance
-
CVS, as usual, pulled a fast one on its existing auto renewal customers.
While the annual fee remains $48 and you get $10 in extra bucks each month they used to ship your order free as long as you had an eligible care pass item in your cart. ie, a $3 canister of CVS Gold Emblem Nuts. You could then redeem ecb’s against that item and still get the free shipping, so typically oop was just a few cents or just the tax, etc.
Now they’ve changed it to a minimum of $10 shipping for Extra Care Plus (their new name for it) and redeeming extra bucks are counted against you. So if you order $12 of CVS brand items that in the past would have shipped for $2 redeeming your monthly $10 ECB rewards, you now have to spend $20 and still pay $10 oop after the $10ECB or else you get charged $4.99 shipping.
They gave no notice of the changes, and CVS really needs to be held accountable for their bait and switch tactics. You give customers a heads up and let them decide if they wish to continue before changes, not just charge their credit card and say, too bad.

I follow as many as possible but never saw it mentioned and CVS has no business auto billing any customer without notifying them (which I was not) about substantive changes to a program they are paying for. It’s bait and switch, period.

Bottom line, not to me. Don’t you think had I known I’d be posting? and since you’re so on top of these changes, did you bother to share them @Q-shopper on here? I don’t see you contributing news like this when every one else shares changes to programs, but you sure know how to tell me it was announced when I post about it. Doesn’t do me any good now. Try being a team player next time. thanks.

@mistercheap I was a team player. That is till some of your frequent spammers decided to be jerks.

“your”? they aren’t my spammers, I just help moderate, I don’t run this deal site. And I believe the issues are over in the contests area certainly not in the drug/grocery forum where we have a good/helpful group of people. I’d hope you don’t take your frustrations from another area out on people that really don’t even participate much in those areas.
