I just called the store in Edison NJ. I asked them if I buy a $100 gift card for Visa or Mastercard do I get $20 in shopping? They said any gift card but ShopRite. So I would think MasterCard and Visa if you buy one for $100 you get $20 credit in Shopping.

that ad is not in my local circular!! NY counties Putnam/Duchess/Westchester/Sullivan/Orange/Ulster. Is it still working. Wont buy a VHG if not.

@barrytuneup ok went to the Danbury store… found out its only Lowes cards. rep was nice enought to show me the internal promo sheet on this offer. Only works for Lowes… Nothing lost nothing gained. Shop their anyway on Monday AM. thanks my4mainecoons

Having seen these promos from ShopRite for the last 2 years, when it says “SELECT” gift cards it is only the ones pictured. It has always been this way.

Yesterday I went to the the ShopRite in Edison, NJ. Remember I had called Customer Service a few days ago, to ask them if Visa or Mastercard would get the $20 in shopping, they said only Shoprite card were exempt. I was successful, but I had problems. The Manager read the fine print in the circular, and I waited about 15 min. Finely he said they would have to issue me a Shoprite card for $20 that I could use at any time, because It didn’t print out at the register. He apologized for the ad, saying they should have a disclaimer in the ad saying only Lowes. or maybe Home Depot. It did not say anything, but only Shoprite card were excluded. So I lucked out! Today is the last day to get it.

Addendum: If you get a $100 Mastercard or Visa, make sure it says $100. You will get charged $5.95 for it plus the $100. If you get a Visa or Mastercard for any amount, you will be charged $6.95 plus the $100. Just want to bring it to your attention!

Just went to Shoprite. Checked with the customer service about the Gift Card promotion. She showed me internal memo that was sent mid-week. They had many issues with the gift card…people not reading the terms, etc. So they extended the promotion to all cards except Shoprite, MC, and Visa. I just bought a couple of them (one per shoprite plus card) with Chase Pay.

For anyone who doesn’t know/forgot, if you use Chase Pay with a Freedom CC, you get 5% cash back through the end of the month.
