Plenti program will be ending Tuesday, July 10, 2018 - Spend those points while you still can

    From iheartra:

Not sure where else to post this, so I’ll start here. A few weeks back, I gave my son my Plenti card to buy $25 worth of gas at the only Mobil (or Exxon) station in our area. The attendant could not get the card to work, either outside or inside. I had confirmed online previously that the station was a Plenti participant. I sent ExxonMobil an email and got a stock reply that someone would contact me from the “independent” station. No one did, so I stopped in the other day and talked to the woman at the counter. She said they would like to be part of the program, but so far have not been OK’d. Just now I received a call from a man who said he is from the company that delivers the fuel to them. He said the Plenti program is ending this summer. We got disconnected after that, so I couldn’t get any further verification of that.

Plenti members can use Plenti points for savings on qualifying purchases at Macy’s until 5/3/2018. Plenti members can continue to use available Plenti points at other participating partners after 5/3/2018.

I still have $490.95 in Plenti points spread over two Plenti accounts, so a good wake up call for me. I have made great strides in spending my points down though. At my peak I had about $1,200 in Plenti points spread between the two cards, so I have redeemed close to 60% of mine but still have some more spending ahead of me to redeem them all.

@mrvietnam Sounds a little Chicken Little to me. It will take more than the word of a fuel delivery guy for me to believe it. Like a memo? Like something in the news? Look at how much advance notice was given about Plenti & Macy’s parting company. RA has committed to accepting PP until Dec. 31, 2019.

In January before my store became “Walgreens dba RA” one of the cashiers told me that I wouldn’t be able to use Plenti Points after Feb. 1. ummmm I don’t think so. The real truth was that I was unable to earn any new PP at RA effective 1-1-2018. Something I’d known since we saw the first ad w/ BC. I can still spend PP at RA. Plenti had nothing to do w/ the Walgreens conversion that happened here on Jan. 30.

OTH, you’re not moving very fast. I had $1500 in PP in November and have < $100 now. The only reason I have what I have now is because I’ve been saving them in case something really nice comes along. 🙂

  • concur… I had 800.00 among 2 cards… now down to 90.00. But hate paying their high prices. Sometimes nothing on sale that is good.

Well, Maine, I am sure you have by now read the memo. Indeed, the Plenti program is closing down on Tuesday, July 10. 2018. The word of the fuel delivery guy happened to be spot on.
